Located in Canyonlands and not Arches National Park, this beautiful arch offers a wide vista of changing landscape. We made the hike (short walk) early in the morning to catch the morning sun. Even at 6AM this location is packet with people hoping to catch a once in a lifetime picture in the Window of the Arch as the morning sun rises. Breathtaking!

August 31st, 2026 — Peschici, Gargano.
A few minutes later, the sunset has almost completely given way to the evening and Peschici begins to change character. The sea fades into the darkness while the lights of the town slowly become part of the picture.
Michela, meanwhile, has clearly moved on from posing for my camera to taking care of her own photograph. I liked the spontaneity of the moment: her smile directed at the phone, the white walls catching the warm artificial light, and just enough of the Adriatic left in the background to place us unmistakably in Peschici.
After thirty years of summers here, we both still photograph the same places. The only difference is that now we do it simultaneously.
Apparently, one photographer in the family was no longer enough.

31 agosto 2026 — Peschici, Gargano.
Qualche minuto più tardi il tramonto ha ormai quasi completamente lasciato spazio alla sera e Peschici comincia a cambiare aspetto. Il mare sfuma nell’oscurità, mentre le luci del paese entrano lentamente a far parte della fotografia.
Michela, nel frattempo, ha chiaramente smesso di preoccuparsi della mia macchina fotografica per dedicarsi alla propria foto. Mi piaceva proprio la spontaneità del momento: il sorriso rivolto al telefono, i muri bianchi illuminati dalla luce calda della sera e quel tanto di Adriatico ancora visibile sullo sfondo da ricordarci inequivocabilmente dove siamo.
Dopo trent’anni di estati qui continuiamo entrambi a fotografare gli stessi luoghi. La differenza è che adesso lo facciamo contemporaneamente.
Evidentemente, un solo fotografo in famiglia non bastava più.
