In a recent study of 2,000 U.S. residents, 81% said they believe that humankind is inherently good, and three in four (75%) believe they're fundamentally a good person.

But when asked how they would compare themselves to others in their life, 46% went a step further, admitting to a belief that they're "better" than everyone else they know.

The survey was conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by Behold Retreats, a wellness company that specializes in the therapeutic use of plant-based medicine to aid in personal and spiritual growth.

Currently, although 62% agree that everyone has the capacity to become a better person, only 43% believe they're doing everything they possibly can to better themselves.

Use of plant-based medicines was found to be one of the most effective self-improvement measures (59%) among respondents

In fact, 82% expressed an interest in trying legalized plant-based psychedelics such as psilocybin (38%) or ayahuasca (34%).

Things you can work on to improve yourself so the tower won't come down.

"My life:

- Stop contemplating

- Express your opinion

- Separate fact & emotion

- Care less what others think

- Control fears

- Feel positive

- Be firm

- Put yourself on #1

- Think positive

- Say no

- Deal with anger and set backs"

In the UK, there are thousands of people suffering from Emetophobia (the fear of being sick).

Rob Kelly, author and creator of the Thrive Programme, launched the UK's first National Emetophobia Awareness Day to help educate and support those that suffer from the phobia to understand and overcome their fear.

Rob launched a new self help guide based upon the Thrive Programme, on the back of his 25 years of clinical experience and research.

Rob Kelly launched his new paperback book in person at No 1 Wimpole Street and revealed the latest research on Emetophobia to help UK sufferers with the condition. Alongside him were be clients, who have cured themselves using the Thrive Programme, to talk about their stories and experiences.

When there is no peril in the fight there is no glory in the triumph.

The Bay Area Power Team had Shore Slocum for it's featured speaker on 2009.09.27.

These pictures pretty much show a good time was had by all - despite the fact that everybody kept their clothes on!

Kudos to Jeremy for building such a great group - it was worth my long drive!

Power Teams are mostly people who are graduates or fans of Tony Robbins.

"Forget results, forget motivation, forget positive thinking," exhorts Coxe. "That sort of thinking only leads to a kind of yo-yo syndrome and prompts individuals to seek out quick fixes, leaving them ill-equipped to deal with the failures we are all certain to experience."

Instead, Coxe shares his Four-Step Process that seeks to "rewire the brain," breaking our addiction to easy gratification and replacing it with a richer level of emotional control and a greater appreciation for the process and journey of life.

Coxe’s proprietary process emphasizes the need to: acknowledge counter-productive behaviors; confront limiting beliefs; replace them with empowering beliefs or thoughts; and formulate an extensive history or list of the positive experiences resulting from this new belief system.

Don’t just let things that bother you slide. Eliminate the things and people that rent space in your head so you can use that space for thoughts that are helpful and productive.
