Hey .... I'm Lo and this is my story. Its not a pleasant one to start with. I've been through a lot in my relatively short years but I hope that sharing my story. Showing you the reality of what it is like to live with chronic (longterm) depression. Will inspire some to make positive changes to their lives and help others to understand how complicated and consuming this condition truly is.

I suppose that, after enjoying 3 or 4 of the little chocolate goodies which come wrapped in foil paper like this, most people don't feel like spending even a second on analysis of messages or content -- that is, the nuggets of candy-wrapper philosophy. So, the folks who come up with these verbal tidbits must not worry about whether their words will withstand analytical scrutiny. But come on, people! Couldn't you at least do a superficial reality check? In this case, if someone falls down seven times, why would he or she NEED to get up eight? You'd only need to get up seven times. Anything beyond that makes no sense at all.
I'm worried all over again about how our country's going to survive, if this is what some people see as an example of "words to live by."

In a recent study of 2,000 U.S. residents, 81% said they believe that humankind is inherently good, and three in four (75%) believe they're fundamentally a good person.
But when asked how they would compare themselves to others in their life, 46% went a step further, admitting to a belief that they're "better" than everyone else they know.
The survey was conducted by OnePoll and commissioned by Behold Retreats, a wellness company that specializes in the therapeutic use of plant-based medicine to aid in personal and spiritual growth.
Currently, although 62% agree that everyone has the capacity to become a better person, only 43% believe they're doing everything they possibly can to better themselves.
Use of plant-based medicines was found to be one of the most effective self-improvement measures (59%) among respondents
In fact, 82% expressed an interest in trying legalized plant-based psychedelics such as psilocybin (38%) or ayahuasca (34%).
Things you can work on to improve yourself so the tower won't come down.
"My life:
- Stop contemplating
- Express your opinion
- Separate fact & emotion
- Care less what others think
- Control fears
- Feel positive
- Be firm
- Put yourself on #1
- Think positive
- Say no
- Deal with anger and set backs"
