Ashok was diagnosed with leprosy as a teenage. He experienced some stigma from his community. TLM provided him with skills training and he is now a plumber-carpenter.

The Bay Area Power Team had Shore Slocum for it's featured speaker on 2009.09.27.

 

These pictures pretty much show a good time was had by all - despite the fact that everybody kept their clothes on!

In the UK, there are thousands of people suffering from Emetophobia (the fear of being sick).

 

Rob Kelly, author and creator of the Thrive Programme, launched the UK's first National Emetophobia Awareness Day to help educate and support those that suffer from the phobia to understand and overcome their fear.

 

Rob launched a new self help guide based upon the Thrive Programme, on the back of his 25 years of clinical experience and research.

 

Rob Kelly launched his new paperback book in person at No 1 Wimpole Street and revealed the latest research on Emetophobia to help UK sufferers with the condition. Alongside him were be clients, who have cured themselves using the Thrive Programme, to talk about their stories and experiences.

Ok, in case you've not already read the comments here, this is the start of my 365 Days project. It's a pool of self portraits that should chronicle my general state over the next year. I'm incorporating this into my New Years resolutions with the idea in mind that this should provide some self-regulation/self-monitoring. Working on the night shift I tend to sleep most of the day....I've let some of that affect my general attitude in life so I've resolved to: 1) Have a more positive outlook on life and get rid of the dark cloud over my head, 2) Be more outgoing and make more friends in my life, 3) Eat better and exercise more often... among others. It has struck me that these are all generally interconnected and I'm hoping that this should show my progress throughout the year! Thanks all for your support!

... helpless. There will always be books (novels, self-help manuals, crappy memoirs) to make you feel better :) Unless, of course, you have to write papers about them.
