Fixed, rigid beliefs and a closed mind has gotten more people killed than all of the world wars combined.

It also makes for unpleasant living with your neighbors.

So my computer's acting crazy today! This show took me a lot longer than

usual today. Computer problems are so frustrating! And Facebook is

running so slow! I'm going to do a massive virus sweep and hopefully I'll

fix this problem since this computer's only about two years old. Those are

my white-people problems. What's yours?

Today we hear from Benita, the Disgruntled Fiddle Player, and the

Brewmaster, PLUS the return of the feature INTO AN INTERVIEW where we talk

to personal trainer and fitness expert SHAY DE SILVA! By the way, we

mention the Olympics since we recorded this while they were still going on

so don't be alarmed. Not that Olympics would alarm you. I don't know,

maybe they do.

Tomorrow we'll have the return of the feature WOW SCHATZ WOW, plus we'll

hear from Madame Rootabega, Valentino, and Bison Bentley!

no runner ups this time....I wasn't catching just the image I was going for.....but since its a bad idea to get overly caught up in having an exact photo in mind, I opted to change my approach and go for the triptych. January and in particular right around the turn of the New Year is a good time for threes.... as we tend to look at past, present, and future: Where we've been, Where we are now, and Where we'd like to be ....

Designed by Chicago architect Howard Van Doren Shaw in 1917, this neighborhood was created industrialist Clayton Mark. It was a planned community, middle class, with the goal of providing affordable housing, retail and a school. Unfortunately, industry exploded in the area. Refineries, steel, chemical plants. The community is surrounded on all sides. Square blocks have been demolished, the retail cornerstone is abandoned and crumbling (that's where I shot these photos.) Most of the houses are falling apart. Those families that remain, mostly Hispanic, are doing their best to maintain what they have. Difficult, since much is abandoned.

Many are townhouses - one side of the house is abandoned, rotting, roof caved in, while on the other side of the common wall, is a nicely maintained home. Sad, really.

How should one control anger in hindi? This is a very common question that bothers everyone!

Pujya Niruma suggests that we should analyse and introspect the situations in which we get angry. A very common reason of becoming angry is that things do not go our way like when our wishes don't get fulfilled and people don't do what we expect, then we get angry. But if we think about it there are many times that we are not in control ourselves so then how can we expect other people to be under our control?

The Amity Affliction performing at the 2015 Self Help Festival at the NOS Event Center in San Bernadino, CA

I have several ways of dealing with stress...

Usually, a good blast with my iPod and some Green Day helps, or a glass of wine, or maybe coffee in my favourite mug? Not so today. :-(

Today, I have had to bring out the big guns.

Eye-wateringly pink slippers and backcloth - check.

Strong black coffee in my bestest mug - check.

Chocolate (industrial size) - check.

iPod cranked up to ear-bleeding setting - check.

Pot of Shiny Happy stars - check.

Lovely little card that was in with my prize from Howard yesterday - check.

Glass of wine - Oh sod it... Forget the glass, just give me a bloody straw...
