Karl started Karate just before his sixth birthday. In under a year he's progressed through 10th Kyu (Blue Belt), 9th Kyu (Orange Belt), 8th Kyu (Red Belt) and has has just successfully achieved 7th Kyu (Yellow Belt). These photographs are from the Shotokan grading on March 4, 2012.

In a little under four years he's progressed through 10th Kyu (Blue Belt), 9th Kyu (Orange Belt), 8th Kyu (Red Belt), 7th Kyu (Yellow Belt), 6th Kyu (Green Belt), 5th Kyu (Purple Belt), 4th Kyu (Purple & White Belt) and has has just successfully achieved 3rd Kyu (Brown Belt). The 'people' are the great regulator. With the passage of time it is the people's responsibility to regulate their government. Our government serves the people, but our politicians are alas merely people with the same wretchedness as the rest of humanity. So this is where self-control comes in hand. Self-control begins with you not allowing your elected representatives to operate wrongly in the best interest of you and your country. Liberty is that which we have been guaranteed in our government laws and letters. In this hour you still have the liberty to vote. Use self-control to vote and to send out a just message that I am an American too!
