Q. How would you define "Success" for you?
My favourite definition involves "fruit" ie. results, outcomes.
A Life filled with these nine aspects would create a person who would be rather amazing to associate with, don't you agree?

The last one is a bit of a turn-off for me when defined as "self-control" - because it sounds restrictive and a bit boring. However, the Greek is 'egkratia' - "Mastery Within" - which is just about as exciting as it gets!
The Wheel I've created is to help you think about your own SPIRIT LEVEL in each of these segments. Imagine the levels like the Dan concept in Martial Arts. You may be a 7th Dan Master in Joy but only a 3rd Dan Master in Inner Mastery (self-control).

Karl started Karate just before his sixth birthday. In a little under four years he's progressed through 10th Kyu (Blue Belt), 9th Kyu (Orange Belt), 8th Kyu (Red Belt), 7th Kyu (Yellow Belt), 6th Kyu (Green Belt), 5th Kyu (Purple Belt), 4th Kyu (Purple & White Belt) and has has just successfully achieved 3rd Kyu (Brown Belt). These photographs are from the Shotokan grading on March 1, 2015.
