Taken shooting into the "infamous" Sheffield Steel Balls that are outside the Winter Gardens.

I've been tagged several times (most recently by the lovely Bek) and never got around to doing it...so, better late than never, here are my 10 random pointless facts:

1 - I don't really like the internet all that much. I am one of the only people I know who doesn't have a facebook, myspace, twitter, or any of that. If not for flickr, I probably wouldn't spend any time at all online outside of work.

2 - If I could only choose one food to eat for the rest of my life, it would be fresh watermelon, cut into chunks.

3 - I shattered my left ankle when I was 15. I had surgery, and it was reassembled with steel pins. They don't set off metal detectors, but I get weird pains when the weather changes sometimes.

4 - My old house is haunted. No joke. I have witnesses.

5 - I learned to read when I was 3.

6 - Nine Inch Nails is one of my favorite bands. I've seen them perform live 23 times in 8 states.

7 - I fail at all sports. I haven't been good at a sport since kickball in grade school.

8 - I have never in my life been afraid of the dark.

9 - I've never taken a photography class, but I would love to learn how to develop my own film.

10 - I am not a fan of extreme temperatures, either hot or cold. My ideal weather would be low 80's during the day and low 60's at night. I love thunderstorms and fog more than anything.

Um…Buffalo Bob, Bob Armstrong Custer, Bob Leaf Eric, Bob Baroo go figure. My sister is saying I look like my dad did. True there is this, Wolfe thing we live with and carry. Having two more Roberts right behind me I can assure you we are each unique (M, A, D, V), not at all the same except for those things we carry genetically and through transactional Analysis. This photo was a point and shoot in an old mirror.

July 31, 2007; got a scanner today, Canoscan 8600F. My first attempt at scanning photos shot with a film camera.

No cheesy bathroom shots here. These girls mean business.

Self Reflection under time pressure - preparing for the case presentation.

Self-Reflection by Jethaniel Peterka received an honorable mention.

Photo captured at a cattle ranch on Old Samoa Road in the city of Arcata. Humboldt County. Late September 2013.

I learned, last year, that my facial expressions often don't convey what I mean for them to-- in particular, that I am seen as angry or distressed when I am not. This isn't a good thing. So I worked on paying more attention to my expressions, and bought mirrors so that I could see what I look like. This one ended up in my hallway. I often blow myself a kiss when I am leaving the apartment. I think this helps me wear a happy face.

My first self reflection photo from a 1956 Mercury Montclair.

My reflection in a crystal-clear tidepool at Montana del Oro at Los Osos outside of Morro Bay, CA. almost has the effect of a double exposure. Sometimes you need to sit back and take a look at your self.

As the original shot that started all this was of a wink, I had to have one here too.

So I go into the bathroom (best lit room in the house!) to try that idea of shooting myself reflected in the compact again, and I get thoroughly distracted by the possibilities of having 2 mirrors in the room.
