Every Grain of Sand
In the time of my confession, in the hour of my deepest need
When the pool of tears beneath my feet flood every newborn seed
There's a dyin' voice within me reaching out somewhere,
Toiling in the danger and in the morals of despair.
Don't have the inclination to look back on any mistake,
Like Cain, I now behold this chain of events that I must break.
In the fury of the moment I can see the Master's hand
In every leaf that trembles, in every grain of sand.
Oh, the flowers of indulgence and the weeds of yesteryear,
Like criminals, they have choked the breath of conscience and good cheer.
The sun beat down upon the steps of time to light the way
To ease the pain of idleness and the memory of decay.
I gaze into the doorway of temptation's angry flame
And every time I pass that way I always hear my name.
Then onward in my journey I come to understand
That every hair is numbered like every grain of sand.
I have gone from rags to riches in the sorrow of the night
In the violence of a summer's dream, in the chill of a wintry light,
In the bitter dance of loneliness fading into space,
In the broken mirror of innocence on each forgotten face.
I hear the ancient footsteps like the motion of the sea
Sometimes I turn, there's someone there, other times it's only me.
I am hanging in the balance of the reality of man
Like every sparrow falling, like every grain of sand.

"There is an art of reading, as well as an art of thinking, and an art of writing."
Isaac D'Israeli
"There is no royal road to geometry."
(μή εἶναι βασιλικήν ἀτραπόν ἐπί γεωμετρίαν)
[Non est regia [inquit Euclides] ad Geometriam via]
– Reply given when the ruler Ptolemy I Soter asked Euclid if there was a shorter road to learning geometry than through Euclid's Elements.
"It seems that the ancient philosophers made the first attempts at this sort of science, in looking for metaphysical relationships between numbers and material bodies. When they said that God occupies himself with geometry, they surely meant that He unites in that science the works of His power with the perspectives of His wisdom."
– Pierre Louis Maupertuis, "Accord de différentes loix de la nature qui avoient jusqu’ici paru incompatibles" (1744).
When you try your best, but you don't succeed
When you get what you want, but not what you need
When you feel so tired, but you can't sleep
Stuck in reverse
And the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
When you love someone, but it goes to waste
Could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
And high up above, or down below
When you're too in love to let it go
But if you never try, you'll never know
Just what you're worth
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you
Tears stream down your face
When you lose something you cannot replace
Tears stream down your face, and I
Tears stream down your face
I promise you I will learn from my mistakes
Tears stream down your face, and I
Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you

This "dark" picture shows an artist who reflects herself.
When I look at pictures created by an artist
I can see in what kind of things he is interested in.
Interested is another word for attention.
Normally the mind does not reflect about its bondages.
But few people want to find out what is happening to them.
Analysing pictures reveal the subconscious.
The secrets of the psyche can be descovered.
Who am I?
If this is your question you may look at your own pictures.
What kind of subjects do they show?
Outside world
Outside world (family – friends - animals)
Outside world but you
Outside world as a mirror of your mood… (this is the border to the inside world.
The inside world is the psyche with many facettes.
Some will be presented later.
The result may be:
Lucid Living

“To be honest, I just want to record the time we have spent together, the beautiful memories that I’ve been able to share with this person,in a desperate measure that I don’t want to forget any of this.“ Cacher by Thy Tran (¾)
I've always preferred to be hidden behind the lens but I hope I can begin to grow more comfortable being my own subject as I practice more self-portraits...I'll start with this simple one first and see where my creativity goes from here.
