This slide showed some interesting result -- Stanford segmenter performs well on NIST data, but really poorly on the IWSLT travel domain speech data.
The line looks scarily low.
But when I checked in the paper, Stanford segmenter does perform much worse on IWSLT 2006, but not so much on IWSLT 2007.
I've never used the IWSLT dataset before. I'd be curious to see what the segmentation looks like.
[update] One thing I noticed later is that they were using the 2006 version of the Stanford segmenter. I would strongly recommend using the 2008 version instead.
