I stood on the edge of the desert, enticed by what appears to be a road where none should exist, thinking of adventure and rattle snakes, prong horned sheep and coyotes. I took a few steps toward the mountains before a jumble of pragmatic thought took over: little water, no GPS tracker, no one knowing where I was or where I was going. What am I, nuts?!

❀ "Achillea millefolium — commonly known as yarrow or common yarrow — is a rhizomatous, spreading, upright to mat-forming perennial in the Asteraceae family. Yarrow was introduced to North America from Europe and Asia in colonial times, and has since naturalized throughout the U. S., primarily along roadsides, fields, and disturbed areas.
Yarrow produces deeply-dissected, fern-like, aromatic, medium green foliage and tiny, long-lasting, white flowers that appear throughout the summer, in dense, flattened, compound, corymbs [umbrella-like inflorescence], 2 to 4 inches across (5 to 10 cm), on stems typically rising 2 to 3 feet tall (0.6 to 1 m). The flowers are attractive to butterflies and other insect pollinators.
‘Saucy Seduction' is a yarrow cultivar that is noted for its bright rose-pink flowers, ferny aromatic foliage, and compact size."

Straight from my garden, a haven for birds, bees and humans, LOL.
Honeysuckle (Lonicera) are popular garden plants with highly perfumed flowers.
There are climbing honeysuckles and evergreen shrubby types, which make good hedging plants.
Honeysuckle derives its name from the edible sweet nectar obtainable from its tubular flowers.
The name Lonicera stems from Adam Lonicer, a Renaissance botanist.
The flowers have a heavenly scent and attract pollinators into the garden...as it is magnet for wildlife - this plant provides nectar for butterflies and bees, moths, which it attracts with its nocturnal scent.
Birds also eat the seeds.

When I made this I was thinking of ads for perfume or alcoholic beverages using images like this to sell the product. This also reminds me about forty six years ago when I went for a job in the Wall Street area wearing the one good quality tailored suit I had to my name and I walked into a Wall Street area bar filled guys in expensive suits and wearing Rolex watches and every woman was a drop dead gorgeous wannabe trophy wife wearing tight black dresses looking for Mr. multi million condo on Park Avenue. The bar had a mirror and as I sipped my beer I saw a few woman checking me out and trying to size me up but I knew as soon as I took one of those woman to my rathole apartment in Queens with my TV on a milk crate the gig would be up.
