Why spend all that money on security alarm systems to keep your house safe from intruders, when you can just grow vines.

I know some of you will say, “just get a dog to protect your property.” Which is on the whole a decent suggestion, but what about Chihuahuas or other small dogs, who could be stepped on. Also, there are those really friendly dogs, who would lick an intruder and sit for a treat with tail wagging.

No! I am afraid the best solution is vines or briars.

How many robbers have the wherewithal to carry a chainsaw with them. They would just pass you by.

This house is so well protected that they can leave their door open a crack without fear of a break in.

When we ran a Post Office, pens and pencils were forever going walkabout! The supplies department would send us these toppers that would be affixed to these items, hopefully to stop them disappearing constantly!

The Tawny Frogmouth chick has grown up and became a lovely young bird. Still, it stays with Dad Frogmouth until it develops full self-confidence.

I thought I had more focus than I actually did here, unfortunately when I rectified that it’s head was hidden so I went with this one.

Great thanks to Julie for finding it for me for without her I would never spot something like this :^)

Seville Santa Justa Train Station - Seville(Sevilla) Spain. I had no tripod so the ISO is a little high on this photo, but with the D610 it still did a pretty good job capturing the detail.

I shot of a lock on a very old gate. The lock made for an interesting shot against the old fence.

I found a very nice dark window in the Moorgate area of London. Sadly the security noticed me straightaway and gave me the evil stare! I hung around just enough to get 3 shots and to annoy them further. Shortly after, they discreetly ushered me away. Cat and Mouse springs to mind. I don't usually post up 3 pictures at a time, but this make a nice mini series.

Night time photo of a convenience store on the south side of Houston Texas. I am experimenting with how my photos look when I use the highest ISO setting (16000) on my camera. Photo was taken with a Canon 80D with a 18-135 mm lens, with some post-processing.
