Sub-base and base stone aggregate has been put down on the northbound lanes (on the right). Paving with PCCP (Portland Cement Concrete Pavement) is soon forthcoming.

One of the highlights of our trip was renting kayaks and some gear from Cardedu Kayaks and doing a self-supported kayak camping trip up the eastern coast of Sardinia, some of its most stunning limestone coast.
The orange marking on the ground (in the near foreground) may indicate the final depth of the cut excavation now underway for the Interstate 69 roadbed near W. Carter Road in Monroe County, Indiana; or it may mark just one stage depth in the excavation, with others to follow; or it may mean something else entirely.
