2nd snake we saw this trip. The first, on day one, was black with whitish stripes down it's back. Both small, maybe 10 inches. This one was on the stretch of forest road we had to walk. Rich used his pole to herd him off the road before a car came along. Never had any cars pass us though.

Some of the smoothest trail we've seen so far. On day 5 we saw lots of mountain bike tracks so this section must be popular with them due to the trail being better.
