Some people despise me because I have a Venus mound and not a penis
Does that sound right to you?
No-cause yer ugly!

Something there is that sure must love a plane
No matter how many you kill with that kind of
bombs or how much blood you manage to spill
you never will hear the cries of pain
Something there is that sure must love a plane
The pilots are never crazy or mean
and bombing a hospital's quick and it's clean
and how could you call such precision insane?
Something there is that sure must love a plane!

Your Memory Here: #34
About 13 years ago the first time driving over the Golden Gate Bridge as a tourist from Germany I was very thrilled, excited, and inspired. It was a sunny day in late August. We came from the North; you could see the City and the East Bay wonderfully. I had no idea that that was kind of lucky; never though that FOG can give you a very different experience.
I also couldn't imagine to ending up living here just 3 years later. Now I cross the bridge once a week in both directions and every time I think of that very first time. It always will make me feel younger and enjoying the ride.

I took my son, Adam, fishing on the Delaware River. He was very young, about 3 ears old. We drove to the river from our home in West Trenton, NJ to Stockton about 20 miles north. We got out of the truck and walked to the river bank. I hooked a worm on the fishing line and fastened a bobber to the line. Then I tossed it into the water. I have the pole to Adam and told him to watch the bobber--when it was under the water, he should pull in his fish. Well, to his surprise, the bobber did go under and the BIGGEST FISH came out of the water! I was a Tiger Mushy. Well, can you imagine a 3 yr old little boy's expression. I'll never forget it. He dropped the pole and ran to me in a panic. He was so surprised that he was angry with me. The fish swam off, hook, line and fishing pole.

Adrienne,
1.) My fondest and strongest memories are sexual in nature. Long ago and near by I met a pretty girl from Germany. I took her home and performed oral sex to her for hours. She seemed insatiable or she hadn't had sexual encounter for some time. She kept pushing my head down there needless to say I was a willing partner. It fades.
2.) A couple of years ago my 20 year old son and I drove to Phoenix, AZ for a family reunion. It was from Fri to Sunday. We left Monday heading back to S.F. I did all the driving. My son did all the sleeping. That was 3 years ago. We met many relatives and in-laws. It was a grand occasion but the memory starts to fade.

In fact, one in every hundred children born has a body that differs from standard male of female. Even if you live in a cave, you probably know someone who is in some way "intersexed", though you may not be aware of it.
Back in the mid-eighteen hundreds, when doctors were becoming more varied and more prevelant and the medical industry was truly beginning to blossom, people began going to doctors on a far more regular basis with the relatively new hope and understanding that the doctors, if anyone, could "fix" what was wrong with them. Now, since the beginning of people on this planet there has been a broad and varied spectrum of human bodies and genitalia in any given period, but now those variations were coming into the real of the medical world and doctors were put there to "deal" with them. Up to that point, sex, gender, and sexuality had been decided by the roles taken on by the people who lived them (mothers were women and fathers were men and the activity, not so much the genital dictated the gender). Now that doctors were there to examine, lines had to be drawn and distinctions made. The general assumption of certain genitals for certain roles came immediately into question and thus was born the notion of a person's sex being tightly defined by a certain few pieces of anatomy (pieces that were and are very vaguely uniform, at most) and that those pieces made you father male or female and nothing else.
Now, when children are born, the first question is the genitals. Easy, if contrived, for most, but when the doctor can't answer that question with his or her understanding of gender, the baby is immediately operated upon to make it more "male" or more "female". More than half of the time the operation puts the child into the "wrong" sex, the child growing up and finding extreme discomfort and utter difficulty involved in having a brain that does not match a body (not to mention often completely dysfunctional genitals and absolute non-arousal or even pain). This is still regular practice.
Of the one in every hundred births that are "different" (in fact quite normal, just not excepted) few if any are noticed or remembered. None are given a cultural heritage of their existence. And all are at some point subject to ostracization. This poster commemorates both the purposely forgotten millions and the strength it takes to make oneself tangible.
