There are days I feel sad that I never was able to actually experience things like Soul Train in its prime. I was lucky enough to live vicariously through a lovely woman who only added to my eccentricity through creative involvement who had the fortune of moving to my crappy hole in the wall city in Colorado when I was growing up. A diamond in the rough in a poor situation, I remember we met when she realized I was ignoring a crappy lesson by listening to Tower of Power in some earbuds I had cleverly hidden. I didn't actually expect her to be so excited and recant nearly every concert experience in the 70's she had back in California right after that. She ended up being like a second mother to me, and a huge source of my sanity. You never quite forget people like that.

The Tina Lips are one of the selections from the Powder Pack from this month. Though it's too late to preorder, it's not too late to grab the collection if you like the variety offered! I'm extremely pleased with it, I've not found lipstick that sits as clean and full on a male head as this one.
