There is hardly a better place in my area to enjoy a perfect Autumn day than the open-air -museum in Detmold. We spent a whole day in beautiful sunshine without a cloud in this lovely location.
The LWL-Freilichtmuseum in Detmold is a great place to learn and experience the world of our ancestors. The open-air-museum is covered with buildings, tools, animals and plants of countryside life in Northwest Germany in the last couple of centuries. An endless source of inspiration for HDR photography.
As the seasons change, some low-lying clouds remind me that stormy days are ahead. But for now, I enjoy the September colors at the end of the day.

At last, the flower season is here. With long days, short nights, sunny dry weather is all in bloom very soon, therefore, if you want to experience the beauty and take photos, you have a great hurry now.
Sorry if I do not have time for all of my good friends' pictures, but I try to keep up with everything.

Found this early Pulsatilla beside a warm stone, in full bloom.
Over the field there where a lot of buds, I will go back in a few days.

This is a place where time stands still in autumn and you take this time to reflect on life.... Filled with new thoughts, you can walk gratefully back down into the valley.

I used to think the moon followed me
New moon or old. waxing and waning

Where I live, we've moved rather abruptly from the season of autumn color to the season of color is hard to find. It was cold enough too on Tuesday that Monday night's snow stuck around all day.

Little Wood-Nymph 'nephele' butterfly taking a brief rest.
Last week there were none. After some cooler rain and windy weather, things have settled. Today, after walking a short distance in a nearby meadow, I observed over 100 of these little creatures doing their grass-top floppy-dance.
Very common this time of the year.
