Taken several years ago now, I put these up as a reminder to re-photograph them to look for more specific focus in some areas. I really like the lighting and the mono.
1. The materials used were my brothers seashells, the lid of the box he keeps them in and a Canon EOS Rebel T6.
2. I interpreted the theme by the seashells representing the ocean part since that's where you would find them and peace here would be because being at the beach, especially close to the time where there would be a sunset is very peaceful and looking around for seashells is also peaceful since they are nice to look at.
3. The process was a bit challenging because the camera was taking a while to properly focus on them. I was able to set them up pretty easily but the pictures would just come out blurry.
The title of this picture is Seashell Portrait. The theme of this picture is Asbury Park Field Trip. A principle of design that sticks out is emphasis. There is emphasis in this picture because Sophie is the focal point, while the beach in the background is unfocused. For camera settings I shot at f/22, 100 ISO, and 1/60. I did not do anything to edit this photo. I like this photo because the beach is one of my favorite places, and the fact that she is wearing a hood and a scarf and is all bundled up makes it a different picture than you usually seen taken at the beach. I also like this picture because I really enjoyed doing portraits and I think its cool that you can make them your own by deciding a pose or deciding where you want to take the picture.

Macro shot of seashell with strong side lighting to bring out the texture.
This image could be used as a background image for a skin lotion ad or perhaps as a texture for some sort of science or oceanic promotion.
