CASQUE DE PLONGÉE DE LA MARINE AMÉRICAINE.

Exposé dans le musée montrant ainsi la participation d'OMEGA dans les diverses activités sportives ou professionnelles, ici afin d'assurer la sécurité des plongeurs.

US NAVY DIVING HELEMET.

On display in the museum, it shows OMEGA's involvement in various sporting and professional activities, in this case to ensure the safety of divers.

Just a fun little thing I tried in the pool over the holidays.

The boat and chest are now 22 years old, from one of my childhood sets.

The goggle faces are from the new Arctic sets, I think they work much better than the official method of helmets with a visor.

Funny fact, the boat floats fine on its own or with a figure or two in, but with the heavy chest and 2 figs hanging over the side and affecting the centre of gravity, the whole thing tips and sinks.

It ultimately took about 10 minutes to assemble the scene, and a further 2 days of planning and building rigs to keep this on the surface for long enough to take a picture.

Envision a scene where a sea diver explores the mysterious depths of the ocean, encountering various marine life, including fish. As the diver ascends, swimming towards the surface, it's as if they are transcending the underwater depths and approaching the shimmering light above the water.

This scenario can symbolize personal growth, resilience, and the journey of overcoming challenges. The sea diver represents someone navigating through the complexities of life, while the fish may symbolize the diverse experiences encountered along the way. The ascent toward the light signifies progress, enlightenment, and the promise of brighter horizons after navigating the depths of one's journey....

I had made a series of Peeps for Zazzle, but then found out 'Peeps Candy' have a copyright. I should have checked before making them. :/

Peace

Treasured pieces! Photographed on Friday, 23 November 2012.

Shot at the shores of Bay of Bengal, Tiruchendur, Tamilnadu, India

These folks are not fishermen. These men dive in quest of rare shells and other sea treasures that are either washed ashore or brought to shallow waters near the shore by waves. They make their living by selling those to either tourists directly (rarely) or local vendors (mostly). These vendors in turn sell them in their original form or make decorative stuffs out of it and sell.

As Joe pointed out below, the final price for which it is sold to a tourist in the market is far more than what these sea-divers get for all their hard work. Middlemen make the most in the transaction. Thanks Joe.

Made by Hasbro and released in 1968 was the deep sea diver Joe. This is all original pieces and has the airhoses/compass. There are silver coins that came with the treasure chest (inside) and the octopus is original to the set as well. The painted dark hair Joe is is dated at 1964 and has no body cracks what so ever and hodls a pose with no problems. The mouthpiece with compass hooks to the back of the helmet and one would blow into it and the air would release out of the helmet while in the water. The belt & boot weights are solid lead and makes the figure heavy. This is a fantastic display to own & rated at a C9 condition.
