You know life is bad when you have to resort to drinking beer out of an SDSU mug.... At least it wasn't a football one!
The first shows two graduate students demonstrating a role playing
activity designed for middle school learners. The students "became"
characters representative of two different immigrant populations in
U.S. history and, as those characters, discussed the similarities and
differences in their experience. This particular exercise was an
adaptation of a Webquest learning activity - a model widely taught to
pre-service teachers and pioneered by SDSU's Dr. Bernie Dodge.
This environment is still up at the SDSU campus and is visited
regularly by educators from many countries.
Our day started at the iconic academic building in the center of San Diego State University-- Hepner Hall. The building exhibits a beautiful Moorish-style archway. So gorgeous!
