Bhagavad Gita is the most systematic treatise of analytically dealing with problems we face in our daily lives as well teaching us many ways to deal with those problems as well as teaching us FOUR PATHS to attain SELF REALIZATION.

There is no other scripture in the entire planet, which can help every human being to deal with their problems, like Bhagavad Gita, irrespective of one is a HINDU or not.

Lord Krishna never judges or orders;

He only shows to us, the pros and cons of every issue and left to each one us whether to follow his teachings or not.

He did not even influence the free will of Arjuna.

There is NO such statement beginning with “Thou Shalt Not” in the entire Bhagavad Gita..

Pali Chanting in 2006 and the forthcoming Pali Tipitaka Recitation in 2008.

In 2006, Maha Bodhi Society of India made elaborate arrangements to celebrate the 2550th Buddha Jayanti that marks Sakyamuni Buddha's Birth, Enlightenment and Mahaparinirvana (passing away).

The year-long programme was started from Kolkota, or formerly Calcutta, where Anagarika Dhammapala, the founder of the Society launched and steered the Buddhist revival movement 115 years ago.

A 3-day ‘International Conference on Humanism’ was held from January 7-9 at Science City, Kolkota. The conference saw a huge participation of delegates from all spheres of life.

The Buddha Jayanti celebrations were carried forward through a week-long celebration at Buddhagya from February 13th to 19th, 2006. The Inaugural ceremony was held at Kalchakra Maidan in Buddhagaya. The month-long Tripitaka chanting was also inaugurated at the sacred Maha Bodhi tree in Maha Bodhi Vihara, Buddhagaya. A number of seminars were organized including the International Buddhist Seminar, International Homoeopathic Seminar, Inter-Religious Conference and International Buddhist Cultural programme at Kalchakra Maidan in Buddha Gaya.

Thus, the most historic of all the Maha Bodhi Society acitivities was the revival of Tipitaka's Pali Chanting. The most important practice in the Theravada tradition would now be organised annually during February.

Now that in 2007 the World Tipitaka Edition in Roman script was presented and permaently enshrined in the Maha Bodhi Society Temple, Dhamma Society has made a full support for the forthcoming 2008 Pali Tipitaka Recitation among international lay devotees.

These pictures of past chating activities 2006 are from Maha Bodhi Society of India.

I give to you a new commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. John 13:34

Dr. Nell Becker Sweeden read the evening's scripture: Luke 9:51-62

Sarah and Samuel, sister and brother, read from the scriptures. They have memorized large portions of the Bible including the entire book of Revelation.

I found this as I was walking by the river at Belper, I managed to dig it out. I've written scripture verses on it as it reminded that the heart without God is a heart of stone. Hard against Him and His word. But God can change a stony heart.

Ezekiel 36:26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.

2 Corinthians 3:3 clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.

This is what Unreached Peoples' Missions does with its donations.

I'm assuming this was an office in the church at one time, given that this headstone was erected by the Scripture Readers Society of Ireland.

Here is the ESV clamped between the two boards. I was pretty scared of doing this so I tried it out with a different bible first. I wrote the translation on the bindings so I would know which ones was which in process.

I think next time I may use thinner plywood (these are actually pine planks).

In cutting my blade also got gummed up so I had to stop halfway through and clean.

When I took the bible to kinko's the girl behind the counter told me that they could actually cut the binding off fine, so if you want to do this and don't have access to the machinary you could do this. I actually think it is a better idea to let them do it too.

Let him make his request in faith, doubting nothing; for he who has doubt in his heart is like the waves of the sea, which are troubled by the driving of the wind.

God, the one and only— I'll wait as long as he says. Everything I hope for comes from Him, so why not? He's solid rock under my feet, breathing room for my soul, An impregnable castle: I'm set for life. (The Message) Ps. 62:5-6

1 Chronicles 16:11,12 NKJV

seek the LORD and all His strength; seek His face evermore! Remember His marvelous works which He has done, His wonders, and the judgements of His mouth.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Life gives us some events that we can't control. People die, Disasters strike, love fades, jobs get lost, illness comes, and the list goes on...

We always want to fix any problem quickly, But oftentimes they are beyond our level of strength and understanding.

It is in those moments that we must humble ourselves before God, admit our weakness and ask for His help. Part of seeking the LORD is reading His word and spending time in prayer. As we become more familiar with with God's word, we will be able to recall His promises quickly. Oftentimes certain scriptures will come to mind that provide comfort for us in a bad situation.

I find it hard to worry when I am immersed in worship. Take some time to sit still and find a quiet place with no distractions. Spend that quiet time recognizing God's greatness and His glory. Express your pleasure and praise to the God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He is our comforter, Who promises to walk by our side so that we never have to face troubles alone.

[Joshua 1:9]- Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor dismayed, For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.///

Every believer can lean on this one awesome promise! No matter what we face, We are to take courage, believe Him, and do exactly as He says.

If you have never trusted Jesus Christ as your personal savior. Now is the time. Confess your sin, admit your faults and humbly ask for His forgiveness. [ Romans 10:9]- That if you confess with your mouth the LORD Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.///

Seek Him, Draw strength and wisdom from Him. Trust In Him.
