For Macro Monday's "Screw" theme.
I was going to attempt a screw city, which I've seen done around the place, but on top of my ipad as a light source. I'm not sure it would fit the 3" rule that MM has though, so went with extreme macro on these little 12mm screws instead, 10 focus bracketed and stacked. With the iPad as light source of course ;)
Have a great week and don't get screwed, if you follow my thread.

A screw is a means of connecting objects to each other
A screw consists of a cylindrical or conical part around which a thread is affixed, with a widening at one end, the head, in which a slot or other shaped floor is fitted on the end.
Just a couple of screws and a screwdriver....

We Germans think that we are the ultimate hobby craftsmen. We think we can build anything. But sometimes we can't even get a wood screw screwed in straight. It is advantageous to use a cordless screwdriver at the right angle. That's when the little helpers come into play once again. Sometimes we need their support to finish our project correctly. Fortunately, the little helpers are a helpful community. :)
The used screws in this image are "Spax Universal Screws 4x25 mm"!

The lands of Glacier National Park are part of the history and culture of the Blackfeet, Salish, Pend d'Oreille, and Kootenai tribes. Starting with fur trappers, Anglo settlers began populating the Glacier area in the early 1800s. Some homesteaders would later become the park's first rangers.

"Wish I may, wish I might
Find my one true love tonight
Do you think that he could be you?
If I pray really tight
Get into a fake bar fight
While I'm walking down the avenue
If I lay really quiet
I know that what I do isn't right
I can't stop what I love to do
So I murder love in the night
Watching them fall one by one, they fight
Did you think you'll love me too?
Baby, I'm a sociopath
Sweet serial killer
On the warpath
'Cause I love you just a little too much
I love you just a little too much (much, much)
You can see me drinking Cherry Cola
Sweet serial killer
I left a love note
Said, you know I love the thrill of the rush
You know I love the thrill of the rush!"
The screw thread is believed to have been invented around 400 BCE, by Archytas of Tarentum, a Greek philosopher sometimes called “the father of mechanics.” The general principle of the screw was applied early on, in cities like Pompeii, to extract olive oil and grape juice. It was further developed the Greek mathematician Archimedes to alter water levels. The water screw, first mentioned in Mechanica of Heron of Alexandria, was made from wood and aided farm irrigation and rid ships of bilge water.
