huuuuuuge new vacuum table i just finished building. this time i had to drill about 4000 holes.
i'm excited about the backbar registration moving thing. and i also mounted a switch under the clamps that turns the vacuum on/off automatically as the screen is lowered and raised.

I started work last night on this, which is the first layer of a screenprint of the unknown shoemaker and robber from Washington State whose mugshot I was sent by Mark. I'll work up a few other layers, including one with little flying devils on it, I think, before I take it down to the printmakers workshop.
As part of Glasgow’s Active Ageing Week, a community group from 'Keep Creative', an arts and health GP referral programme, run by Depot Arts in North Glasgow took part in our ‘Growing Bolder’ Printmaking and Archive Project.
The group learned about fine art printmaking techniques and had a tour of the facilities. Here, members of the group are researching prints online.
This series of 6 combination hand drawn and screen-printed collage pieces contain a world inside a small apartment. The repetitive nature of routines and habits associated with domestic life manifest them selves physically through a multiplication of household objects and a doubling and tripling of the figured character.
This is a unique work.
The lower picture shows the second-last state of the print, with two orange layers and a blue layer printed. The upper picture shows the black layer printed on top of the others.

Jellyfish screenprint monoprint - coloured in pencil and crayon directly onto screen, then used wallpaper paste to disolve and print pigment onto heavy weight paper.
One of two, but each is unique. Paper is about 10 inches by 14 inches, with a deckle edge.
