VILLA REVOLTELLA

Dimora storica all’interno di un Parco curato e amato dai triestini e poco fuori dal centro città, Villa Revoltella è la tipica villa elegante con scuderie, cappella privata, abitazione del cappellano, scuola-oratorio e portineria. Si trova sul colle Farneto, a pochi passi dal MIB Trieste, prestigiosa realtà di School Management.

Residenza estiva la Villa e il suo parco sono parte del lascito ereditario del Barone Revoltella al Comune.

Lo chalet viene attribuito all’architetto prussiano Friedrich Hitzig, a sua volta progettista del Palazzo Revoltella e del Palazzo Ferdinandeo. Lo chalet verrà poi realizzato dall’architetto Giuseppe Sforzi.

 

A historic residence within a well-kept park beloved by the people of Trieste and just outside the city centre, Villa Revoltella is a typical elegant villa with stables, private chapel, chaplain's house, school-oratory and gatehouse. It is located on the Farneto hill, a stone's throw from the MIB Trieste, a prestigious School Management centre. A summer residence, the Villa and its park are part of Baron Revoltella's hereditary bequest to the City. The chalet is attributed to the Prussian architect Friedrich Hitzig, who in turn designed Palazzo Revoltella and Palazzo Ferdinandeo. The chalet was later realised by architect Giuseppe Sforzi.

In Holland around 1980 there was a surplus of young people searching for the few available jobs. Managers had an ample choice. It was a period of economical crisis. For instance school managers got hundreds of letters when there was a school job available. Their attitude towards all the new candidates was not always so inspiring.

I want to add: there also exist school managers with a different mentality. I know. And fine, interested educators.
