Putting this double-layer pasteboard US Schoolbus together reminded me of a visit to the engine workshop at the West Melbourne railyards Open Day years ago when my kids were younger - where enormous mobile cranes on rails in the workshop roof would lift the chassis from the locomotives to facilitate maintenance; my then teenage son even got to drive a working one. It's sad how public liability issues (probably) stopped such annual public access days.

Anyways, separating the chassis of my US Schoolbus drawing as two 370gsm pasteboard layers has given it a nice, slightly 3D look.

The cuts have cut away the windows, windscreen and SCHOOLBUS sign - along with distinguishing the under shade of the bus from its body.

We found this cool old broken schoolbus that was 'for sale', hopped a fence and started shooting. It was hard to keep my lightstand level with all the huge weeds everywhere >,<

If any of you have seen Death Note, her position here reminds me of L's, heh.
