Macro Mondays: Squared circle
Upside down of a glass with a scarf clip placed on it. Illuminated inside with smartphone light.
Buba wearing my scarf (flu's been of the nasty kind, 2 weeks and still I'm not entirely ok...) and looking generally concerned. But don't let appearances fool you, she had treats and (one) spaghetti just before this photo was taken... ;)
Due winter coming soon I create scarf with wool 3 pattern with 3 pack and 15 swatches per pack hope you guys enjoy with it :D
Please try demo first!!
Oya, a form of intricate crochet that often involves using a short sewing needle, thread, and knotting, has existed for centuries. It likely dates back to the Ottoman Empire (1300-1900), when the arts were commonly emphasized in architecture, home decorating, textiles, and literature. Today, women in Anatolia and throughout Turkish villages still practice oya to decorate scarves and headgear, trim items for a bride’s trousseau, and create beautiful fiber art jewelry. Hanife Hanım crochets these, sews them on scarves, and sells them on the street.
Thanks to Hanife Hanım for letting me use her photo on Flickr.

Finally finished this scarf a few weeks ago. Took a while cause I kept getting sidetracked with something else. I'm very happy with how it turned out...love the lace pattern and the color. :)
Scarf knitted for me by my friend Liz to go under my green walking coat, it fits so well and is very warm.

Con bufanda.
Desde que a mi hermana le ha dado por tejer, tiene una larga lista de encargos por mi parte... De momento solo he conseguido que me haga una bufanda muy molona...
Scarf as seen near Tottenham Court Road underground station, London. Those chips were delicious.
I am tired.
When asked what I see in him to take photographs in him, I said I loved the red scarf- it tells the story that winter is almost here.
On the topic of 'winter', he asked what we photographers find so attractive in it, and I knew he is talking about none other than Nayeem Bhai who used to visit this place quite often.
Bose Brothers, one of the earliest sweet shops of Chittagong is still renowned for its authentic taste.

A necessary Winter item this coloured scarf belongs to Sarah! :-))
Scarf was made with 100 yards and 3oz of alpaca, merino, silk & glitz blend with recycled sari silk . Roving was from Loop on Etsy, spun by me on my Lendrum ST.
I found this fun scarf while shopping with my hubby downtown on valentine's day. Also got it in about 5 other colors, so FUN! Bigger on my website, in my newborn gallery. Thanks for looking.

Before zooming in, this scarf appears incredibly smooth and shiny - almost iridescent. However, when you focus on only an inch or two, the weave predominates and the silky appearance disappears. Still interesting, but nothing like what I was anticipating!
How generous is this?
I got home from vacation last Monday to find a package from Sandra, aka, Sexy Swedish Babe. Inside was the following message and the brightly colored scarf i'm wearing:
Rita!
Finally--here it is...the scarf that was inspired by all the vibrant colors I've seen in your stream. I know it's summer and really warm, but i do hope you'll get to wear it eventually! Haha!
Love, Sandra
P.S! I thought it might amuse you to know that this yarn (a blue one) was also used in Myla Kent's scarf!!!! (Myla has my same birthday, September 12th)
Not only is sexy swedish babe the most beautiful and sexiest woman on flickr, she is also one of the most generous and talented!
Thank you Sandra! I now must think of a way to reciprocate.
Don't ask why. Don't ask how. Don't comment on the tripod just out of shot with pegs and sticky-tape. Don't ask questions about why she's got no top on implying she's warm and yet is wrapped in a scarf.
It just seemed like something different to do you know? ;-)
I have just finished my scarf. This is the only blue piece of clothes I have...
I don't even know if I will wear it...
But knitting is good for nerves ;)))
