Pictured is Dr. Ellen Ochoa, retired astronaut and current director of NASA's Johnson Space Center. She is standing in front of Northrop Grumman's full-scale model of the James Webb Space Telescope, at the Super Bowl LIVE event in Houston. (It runs through Feb 5, 2017.)
Webb will be traveling to NASA Johnson in the spring of 2017 for an end-to-end test in Chamber A, the giant thermal vacuum chamber.

The full-scale model of Webb is near Discovery Green, and demonstrates the sheer size of the telescope, its 6.5 meter diameter mirror, and its tennis-court sized sunshield.

Very nice! I spent a few hours playing around with Vista and I must say I REALLY like it. I love it, in fact.
It feels quite a bit different from XP so I was feeling a bit uneasy, but that's normal until you get a feel for the OS and get used to where options are.
........But I've sadly gone back to Windows XP. Windows Vista isn't ready for me yet.
Why?
Well, it really comes down to software and driver compatibility. For new computers, everything comes working and configured.
But during installation Vista couldn't find drivers for:
My CliqueCam webcam
My Microtek ScanMaker 3800 (Scanner)
My SBLive! 24bit
My motherboard HD-Audio
I got the SBLive! working without issue. I could have gotten the unused motherboard audio working as its Intel and I'm sure there are drivers....
There were no drivers for my scanner or my webcam so those I would have to buy new vista compatible units.
Next, my Bluetooth dongle was working using the crappy built in Microsoft drivers. (In generic mode.) I use BlueSoleil's excellent Bluetooth drivers and I see they have announced Vista compatibility -- but it doesn't seem v3.0 is out yet.
Next there are the apps I use every day -- they may or may not have been compatible, but I have a feeling some aren't and I can't really live without them.
- Sony Ericsson PC Suite
- Ahead Nero 7
- Logitech G-Series Keyboard Software
- Symantec Antivirus (looks compatible, needs to be updated)
- BlueSoleil Bluetooth Software (mentioned above)
- RivaTuner
- ffdshow and other codecs (I heard Vista is fussy about these)
.... and more
So I figure I'll just try it again in six months time and see where things sit.
By then too there will be a boatload of useful desktop gadgets (there already seemed to be a TON) and a lot of the software and drivers issues should be totally worked out.
