A rather strange title for this capture but I feel it reminds me so much of the actual morning.
As some may know, Yakety Sax is the Benny Hill theme tune.
You know the one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well that was me , flying about when this colour came from nowhere. Right at the precise moment I'd decided to move from one side of the castle to the other.
A quick about turn was in order and knowing from experience, how short lived the colour can sometimes be, it was a race to get back to a position to capture this beautiful scene.
I just love this view point, Dunnatar Castle viewed through the top of a heart (what I see)
I know it's not a flute and it's not a cobra,
but who knows? :D
And also - where else to play the saxophone than here?

Sax Zim Bog, Minnesota.
This species was a lifer for me, and it was plentiful at the Bog. The challenge was to find/create a desirable composition. This species was visiting feeders in several places, and with birds that come to feeders, I watch how they stage down or up from the feeder, to help determine a set-up. I was not introducing new perches in this environment, so I had to see what was available.

Normally Not a huge fan of Sax players at my venues, but I am a fan of this guy and this pic! Not so keen on the sensor killing lasers though!
The codepole has fallen, the Union Switch and Signal installations much the same; but time hasn't quite killed all the real-time magic of the Missabe quite yet. The steam gargantuan of yore, the maroon diesel, the face and economic place of the space has changed; yet the throb of dedicated commerce still emanates from the fog resting along HWY 7. The gathering hordes, enticed by the lashing of three B&LE tunnel motors, has not appeared ahead or behind this empty Fairlane loader; a vintage moment, serene and alone, still to be had upon the railroad earth.
Or maybe not, hell I wasn't there when the things I think are interesting were actually happening.
a man from Los Trancos Woods plays soprano sax in the Redwood City July 4 parade. Most of my sliding was with the background in PSE.
