CJ helped me do my exposure ratings before we started the shoot with the bride and groom. Off to the right side of the frame (where she's looking) there's a bunch of people milling about chattering and joking, though there was some almost palpable tension (there always is) since the shoot was starting hours later than anticipated.
The set up was not what had been intended (though I'd wanted lamps anyway) since my muslin had already been rented out, and they had nothing left in a size I needed. As it was this wall was smaller than desired, but at least we didn't have to pay for it. The furniture was gathered from around the church becoming a very homey setting without looking like a living room.
Lighting is provided by three 1k incandescent lamps, one on the other side of a window to the left that's washing out the blue sunlight from outside so the lamp shades don't halo.
The 18% gray card was given to me by my mom. She bought it from Saveco on 18 February 1981 for 2.59$ after tax. I know this because she found it in it's original bag with the receipt, couldn't remember why she had it or even really what it was for, so gave it to me. I keep it in the brown bag with the receipt.
Thanks to Adrian and Arvie for letting me hangout with them at SAVECO. The skies from there was really boring and bland. After Adrian left, around 6:30pm, I saw the colors just barely coming out so I told Arvie "c'ya, I gotta catch this." I didn't know what would come of it but, here you go. =) I actually was heading to Two Lovers Point but I wouldn't make it so I ended up at Royal Orchid.
Back to School shopping at the Save-Co store in Orange County CA -- circa 1968. Sav-co was a Whitefront wannabe, but fell short on many counts.
Last Year this lady had thrown her twigs in old store bags (A Wolco one and a Bi-way one). This year I found a Woolco (the rare one that had the $1.44 sign on it), A Woodwynn, and a Saveco. These bags should not be thrown away as they are now collectible.
