Australian Hobby (Falco longipennis)
I took a long wander along Hoppers Lane and around the Sneydes Rd. Paddock this morning. What a great morning it was! So I am way behind with Flickr today will catch up with your images soon.
If you look at this Hobby you can see it has a very full crop so it had enjoyed a satisfying breakfast.

10 years back I captured this photo ...
my theme was a landscape-park with museem - buildings, paintings, sculptures - but first and foremost the nature of this park and the threshold band between architecture, art and nature ...
I got my first digital camera at 2005, a point and shoot, my first digital single-lens reflex camera 2006, with 1,6x crop-sensor (unsatisfying compared to the Hasselblad -photos), only a few weeks before I got my first Canon 5D ...
At first I used the digital equipment just parallel to my Hasselblad-cameras and it needed a long time to learn and to get satisfied with the results ...

Australian Hobby (Falco longipennis)
One of the two in Hoppers Lane. Both had obviously not long eaten - you can see the bulging crop here. Fortunately for me this one perched on top of a dead tree that had had the top lopped off and was at a reasonable height to photograph. The other one was another 8 metres higher in the top branches of another tree.

Australian Hobby (Falco longipennis)
I took my camera when I popped down to the bakery this afternoon. Glad I did as our Hobby was in the tree in the Powell Drive park. You can see clearly that he has a full crop so has recently eaten. He was still eyeing off the Sparrows in the nearby 'Sparrow Tree' though!
Only chance to get any photos today as for the first time in a long time I have a full work day. To my FFF+ friends, I hope you have had a great day at Pt Nepean, hopefully I will make it next month.
