two under the counter lights with white fluorescent bulbs that have serious color issues. and now i know why i look like pure hell under these type of lights.

Just got back from our annual visit to RAF Cosford Air Museum. Full of vintage planes and ephemera, I seem to take similar shots every time we go, so I tried different things and exhibits this year! (Might post a few of the same though)
Shot this through glass, in a dimly lit room, didn't come out as bad as I expected!
Because AUS is heading into winter we get more and more cool misty morning, I braved the cold and ventured to the lake. Five boats sat on the lake in the early morning mist.

Also known as a Sand Martin, this is a very rare visitor to our Southern state though more common in North India where they winter after migrating from the Pale Arctic region. They have a wide spread across much of Europe, Asia and even North America.
The birds are pretty small - maybe 12-14 cms and have a slow erratic flight path. They tend to catch the insects in flight making them pretty hard to shoot in flight. Two birds came to a city lake, I was lucky to have spotted them close. I sat on the ground trying to shoot some birds and this one came close by giving this wonderful opportunity. The birds are solo fliers unlike other swallows like the Barn Swallow or Streak Throated Swallow which fly in small groups. The Bank swallow joined others species, but it was flying alone with no other members of its species around.

this really caught my eye the other day amazing how the outside flowers open first
We pull up in our car alongside a train parked up, locomotives switched off. We came here last night, a train was sat here also, switched off. The crew were nervous of our presence with and our cameras and told us it had broken down. One of them leaned out of the engine room with a spanner and confirmed this. Again there are people inside, we are a little cautious but take pictures. The driver leans out of his window and shouts to us, we go over, and though he has no German or English he soon knows where we have travelled from. He signals us to wait. Shortly he leans out of the cab window again, pointing his phone down to us. It speaks through a translate app 'We will start the locomotive and you will make a video with your cameras' He waits for us to take our positions and then each unit is restated with plumes of smoke. A bus arrives and three get down out of the cab, its a crew change. The relieved crew are gone and the train restarts, uphill for a kilometre or so on the last leg up to the Bogatyr' mine.

How beautiful is this morning light? I sat on this beach for ages just enjoying the sunshine and taking in the beauty of this secluded little beach in Far North Queensland.

We sat here for a while, taking in the square and the few people, before deciding what to do for dinner. It was around 6pm, and the restaurants here looked a bit expensive (e.g. Durand Dupont). With the help of Mr Google, we picked a restaurant called Monsieur Maillot, at Porte Maillot, a few blocks further on towards the Arc de Triomphe, not far past the very busy Blvd Périphérique ring road. Booked a table for 7pm, and then took our time wandering around through streets well away from the Av Charles de Gaulle.

After our very succesful first collab we were hired
by Cavata Clothing/USA to create a shirtdesign with the same vibe.
I started with the SM 58 microphone character and SAT came up with
his great looking tape on the top of the design. Once again it was hell of fun,
thanks SAT! This will be soon available in their online shop.

I had no intention of going out this morning but I awoke before my alarm at 7am, looked out of the window and saw a good dusting of snow and promising sky conditions.
25 minutes later I was sat here on Clogwyn Mawr, a wonderful belvedere which towers over my home and our lovely village.
A great way to start my day.

I was chuffed to finally get this in decent light, having tried and failed several times during family holidays over the last few years.
The Ocean Mist after dark, moored on the Water of Leith down by The Shore area of Leith. Improvised night shot as I was in the area after dark, but wasn't carrying the tripod, so set timer and sat the camera on the flat-topped railings along the bridge to steady it for a long exposure.
