"As we sat, a tiny flash of blue-gray and white sped away. A moment later, the bird returned, and went back to foraging up and down the outer branches of the vines in search of food.
The bird was white underneath and almost exclusively blue-gray up top. The wings looked a bit darker, as if some black or brown ink had been splashed in. A white eye-ring stood out against a backdrop of gray head and a slender, jet black bill.
The most remarkable thing, though, was the bird's diminutive size. Wings spread wide were just a bit more than 4 inches. My field guide says that I would need to hold five of them in my hands just to get one ounce."

It wasn't cold enough to keep me inside. I bundled up and sat on the porch watching the infrequent lone beach walker with companion dog along for company. I love the beach in the winter time; deserted, untouched by footprints, and unobstructed views.
Just got back from our annual visit to RAF Cosford Air Museum. Full of vintage planes and ephemera, I seem to take similar shots every time we go, so I tried different things and exhibits this year! (Might post a few of the same though)
Shot this through glass, in a dimly lit room, didn't come out as bad as I expected!

A great grey owl takes off as it hunts the bog meadows.
Made my annual trip to Sax Zim Bog and once again it didn't disappoint. The owl sat for over an hour in some birch trees just resting in the dark shadows. I figured it would just sit there until nightfall, However, as the last rays of sun poked through a sliver of western sky, the snow fell and it started hunting. Flying from one perch to the next across the meadow, putting on quite a show.

December 2024: A stand off between a Greater Yellownape Woodpecker and a Red-billed Blue-Magpie. I wonder who won? - Sattal, Uttarakhand, India 🇮🇳
After our very succesful first collab we were hired
by Cavata Clothing/USA to create a shirtdesign with the same vibe.
I started with the SM 58 microphone character and SAT came up with
his great looking tape on the top of the design. Once again it was hell of fun,
thanks SAT! This will be soon available in their online shop.
