This rather sartorial guy was walking past the Christmas market in the old town in Düsseldorf--I wish I knew more about him?? There must be a narrative there for sure!
I hoped for the Jackdaw to stay in shot and he did. The gentleman in his sartorial attire I would have liked better sitting alone but you can't have everything and the empty bench on this beautiful sunny day in St Ives with its faded memorial bunch of flowers conveyed an air of poignancy..to me anyway...
Last month, as another year came to a close, I realized that I needed to up my sartorial game.
I’ve enjoyed playing dress-up in both SL & RL for as long as I can remember. That said, I am upping my courage this new year to try new trends and styles when it comes to my cosmetics.
I turned to Alge’s latest Avant EvoX eyeshadow collection - which combines the contrasting highlighting of black liner with a blending array of colorful winged accents. Regardless of your lid, eye shape, eye distance, or preference, these work for everyone, adding a very exotic look to your eyes.
To add to my exotic looks, I went ahead and had my ears pierced - wearing [DB] Ormr ear piercings for my Lelutka EvoX head.
Both the MK Eyes Avant EvoxX and the DB Ormr Ear Piercings are now available at SWANK RENEW YOURSELF JANUARY 2023 EVENT:
Today in microfashion in the garden ... I thought he was just about the best dressed fly I had ever seen. If you know the name of this bug in such sartorial splendour please let me know in the comments. :)

Got to RSPB Titchwell at close to a very high, high tide which meant less of a trek to watch the waders feeding along the tideline. a picture of sartorial elegance in my waterproofs and wellies, I just sat amongst the debris and let the birds come to me.
Occasionally they would be spooked by a dog walker or other interloper, but at least that was a chance for some flight shots.
This LF Bloom leather mini dress might just be the perfect choice for your next party. With this all-black leather look, it is such an easy way to hop on the monochrome dressing bandwagon.
Personally speaking, if am going to go out and wear something daringly sexy, it's all about the details.
This intriguing leather bodycon mini delivers with its heart-shaped peekaboo cutout and metal eyelet-belted leather buckle design. These features add just the right amount and touch of naughtiness to this sartorial statement without going over the edge.
This IF Bloom Dress is exclusively available at Swank Goth Sales Event for October. Also, this month Swank Events has its annual pumpkin hunt. There are pumpkins to find at the booths!

I was driving home after picking up some groceries and just as the light turned green I noticed this crew of sartorially magnificent dressers. As I drove through the intersection I fired off a couple of rounds from my camera through the window. So it's not sharp and it's noisy. But I love it anyway.

I had the pleasure of sharing my beach with Paul Dunn yesterday. We have been Flickr friends for quite a few years and Paul is also a keen beach lover! It was great to meet up and have a good chin wag about photography and life in general! He wasn't even phased by my very sartorial elegance - dressed in my wellies and old fishing coat (30 years plus old!) making me look like a huge Michelin woman! Hope we can meet up again and continue our chin wag!
“I'm glad you're going somewhere you've been to before.” Ali's elderly mother had obviously been thinking about our troubles in January during our last holiday in Egypt with two galloping cases of the Pharaoh's revenge. I'll say no more on the subject. She went a bit quiet when reminded that on our one previous trip to Gran Canaria somebody had broken into the boot of our locked hire car and stolen our mobile phones. I suppose at least this was in 2012, before either of us owned the modern smartphones that contain every single detail of our existence down to our shoe sizes and without which we're worryingly lost these days. But on mine was a treasured picture of me with John Noakes, a much loved former “Blue Peter” presenter and childhood hero. I'd bumped into him at Gatwick Airport on the way home from a seminar in London. A lovely man who was more than happy to chat about those shared memories of the days when he was on my TV screen every week. The picture was gone forever, and sadly so has the great man himself.
Our previous visit, thirteen summers ago, was also the holiday when the hire company ripped me off, taking advantage of the fact we'd been travelling all day and were very tired after changing planes at Madrid, charging an exorbitant amount for a tank of petrol as the clock ticked towards midnight. More than three times what it cost at the pump. I complained bitterly about the sharp practice afterwards, but the hire company maintained a stony silence in response to my messages. Eventually the price comparison site sent me a cheque to shut me up. Neither of us were in an almighty rush to return to the island anytime soon. Gran Canaria appeared to have joined Italy (except for the Alps) and the Oxfordshire town of Wallingford on the list of places where things seem to go wrong whenever I visit them.
But there was an enticing half board deal on offer at a swanky looking kind of place in the hills above Maspalomas and we'd decided to give the maligned Gran Canaria a second chance. Everyone deserves a second chance. Well, almost everyone anyway. Besides which there was a complimentary safe in every room at the hotel and we wouldn't be leaving so much as a stray hiking sock in the car that I'd arranged to hire from one of the Canary Islands’ tried and trusted local companies. My mother in law was reassured by this news and having evidently forgotten that Ali is in her sixties, offered her a bit of spending money, which was politely declined. And declined a second time. And then reluctantly accepted. She does an awful lot for her frail and ancient parents. And I've been long convinced that they've got a money tree under the bed in any case.
And so we packed Giant Haystacks, the enormous borrowed suitcase. It seemed we were going somewhere a bit more upmarket than usual and there was a dress code for dinner. Normally I just throw in a couple of pairs of shorts, a few tee shirts and enough underwear to last the holiday, but this time I was packing long sleeved tops and of all things a long unworn pair of red chinos. When did I decide that red chinos were an essential item of clothing? With Bill Bryson's forthright opinions on men in red trousers firmly at the forefront of my mind, I shrugged and put them in the case. You can often get away with wearing funny coloured trousers in Europe. Meanwhile Ali was preparing what I'm told is known as a capsule wardrobe. You see while I'm watching photography videos on YouTube, she follows clothing gurus who've recently picked up a few pieces on a trip to Bhutan. Just enough to fill a dozen packing crates. Like me, you were probably thinking the phrase “capsule” meant compact. Try again. I paid an extra luggage fee because it was clear to any fool that the case was going to weigh more than twenty-three kilos, even though my side of it contained just two pairs of shorts, a few tee shirts and enough underwear to last the holiday. And a pair of red chinos. Was any of the bonus spending money offered to pay for the extra load? What do you think?
And apart from both of us being ill from day two until after returning home, things went more smoothly this time around. No breaking into cars, no shape shifting hire operators. The dress code didn't appear to be rigidly enforced so I only wore the chinos once, while the capsule wardrobe was rotated with a poised elegance I failed to match with my own sartorial offerings. The second chance hadn't been grasped as firmly as we'd have liked, but we'd seen enough to remove the island from the naughty list. It's hard to keep a grudge going when it has landscapes like this.

Knitwear might seem at times to be the only saving grace for what could otherwise be a sartorially-uninspiring winter season. Winter weather can challenge fashion designers and models alike because of its often sustained overcast and dreary climate.
And yet, this [#SHOOSH] Rita Top & Skirt Outfit instantly reinvigorates the winter months with it refreshingly charming Tartan plaid textured patterns, knit wool ribbed details, chic appearance, and flattering fit.
This [#SHOOSH] Rita Top, Skirt, and Beret Outfit fits Gen X Classic / Curvy, Erika, Khara, Kupra, Lara X, Lara X Petite, Legacy, Perky, and Reborn / Waifu mesh bodies. Its Fatpack offers an amazing 40 different combined patterns and colors to choose from.

With a break in the Christmas activities and an image already worked and ready for launch, I thought I'd put this one up as memory for the slightly older enthusiast, plus anyone who's a fan of diesel-hydraulics.
The shot captures 'Western' unit D1052 'Western Viceroy' after arrival at Derby, a location that rarely saw diesel-hydraulics, with the 'Western Sunset' charter special organised by the Plymouth Railway Circle.
The special, running from Plymouth to Derby (1Z58), was hauled by D1036 'Western Emperor' as far as Westbury where D1052 took over and brought the lucky passengers over the Broadway route between Cheltenham and Stratford-upon Avon, and which included a photo-stop at Cheltenham Racecourse station. That particular section, by now seeing little traffic and consigned to freight-only, would close altogether in 1976.
Here, D1052 can be seen running round its train before re-attaching and heading back, via Worcester Shrub Hill, to Bristol Temple Meads where D1036 would again take over for the final leg to Plymouth. The return train travelled as 1Z16.
No surprise there were lots of folk milling around recording the event, including the passengers, and this one duly features a couple of them. With polished black shoes and nice jackets, rather more sartorially dressed than the snappers of today it has to be said! Perhaps you were one of them?

The moment I slipped into the Nathalie dress by GAW, I could have sworn I was Aphrodite herself—rising from the aqua-speckled waves, kissed by the sea foam, and adored by the breeze. Crafted with meticulously elegant design, Nathlie features a cascading ruffle train that moves like water. The stunning part? The ruffles’ silken edges and lush gradients are color-changeable, allowing you to make it uniquely yours, every time. Tied sweetly at the waist is a delicate ribbon belt, accented by a sculpted rose—an enchanting detail that adds a soft romantic touch to the overall look. The silhouette and styling immediately transport me to the passionate spirit of flamenco, with fiery confidence stitched into every gathered ruffle. And the corset top? Absolutely magical. Made of luxurious lace and silk, it’s complete with classic whalebone structure, giving me the dreamy, sculpted silhouette I’ve only ever dared to imagine. Ooh la la! The corset draws from centuries-old sartorial tradition—once used to bind and shape, now reimagined as an empowering piece of wearable art. Today, it softly sculpts, flatters, and seduces without sacrificing comfort.
Nathalie is available for Bombshell, Kupra, LaraX, and petite, Legacy, Maitreya & petite, perky, reborn, and waifu. making this beauty as versatile as she is captivating. It comes with two color-changing huds, one for the corset and sleeves and one for the skirt and panty liner.

This is not intended as any kind of political statement but more of an observation. We've rarely seen the like of Donald Trump, and love him or hate him, he certainly creates conversation.
He is constantly surrounded by controversy and chaos seems to have invaded the White House, if the news outlets are to be believed. Everyday seems to bring another tempest, whether it's genuine or hyped by the network news.
I didn't start this picture with the intention of making it Trump but it kind of evolved and, as I was working on it, his sartorial trademark red tie and his distinctive hair seemed to emerge.
We live in a most interesting time.

For my afternoon on the French Riviera, I decided to first take a shopping stroll along the famous Boulevard de la Croisette in Cannes - where all the high-end, Parisian brand haute couture boutiques line the sidewalks. It is a fantastic place to hunt down the latest sartorial essentials!
I chose to wear this playfully chic and classy LUXE Paris Bollicine White Bubbles Dress – which combines both artsy Parisian fun with sophisticated nonchalant flair. It is ideal for my afternoon shopping jaunt and also quite stylish should I decide to later dine at the Uva, the Noisette, or at the fancy five star Hotel du Cap (where scrappy beachwear is out of place).
Since I plan on walking to the Sephora Cosmetics store on Rue d'Antibes, I have been told by the Concierge that the roads above the Croisette are not made for heels. That said, I paired my dress with these chic and comfortable chalette cork wedge sandals. For my small purchases and needed carry-a-longs, I also brought my black Napa leather tote.
I am wearing a white raffia hat with sunglasses for the Mediterranean sunshine. Bangles and a French Cartier watch grace my wrists. To up my game, I adorn this fabulous ZURI Asha Embossed Sterling Necklace.
For cosmetics, I selected a French burgundy hue from EVER’S TONE 2 Traveler’s Lipstick and Mani Pedi Collections complemented by Just a Dusting Eyeshadow.

These are pictures I shot before I left for Ajmer and am posting them now , I have always been fascinated with the spirituality of the hijab..its holistic harmony with its surroundings..
And I talk about the hijab indigenous to Muslim society, in India the hijab does not have any such opposition as one finds in Europe .
Hijab stories will never end but Hijab in India is a garment of grace modesty and harmonious dignity.. sartorial serendipity.
As I come from a modern liberal Shia family , the modern liberal applies to me , we have no issue with the hijab..its a option you take to wear it or dont wear it.
My wife my daughter in laws wear it so does my 2 and a half year old grand daughter Marziya.
While coming back from a tiring trip from Ajmer , a bus drive from Ajmer ro Surat followed by another bus trip from Surat to Vasai..I encountered a Hindu girl with the end of her Rajasthani saree used as a veil or Ghungat .
She sat by the window and light filtered in revealing the silhouette of her femininity..I shot several frames ..the boys traveling with her did not know I was shooting her ..
I also shot a Muslim girl at Taragadh a mountain top near Ajmer writing an Arzi a request for a healthy child .., and women of all faith come here as the fruit of the Gondi tree is famous for barren women as the history of this place signifies.
I shot 22 GB all in a few days, the Urus , the Rafaees the Malangs the Kaif which I participated and beggars and the inimitable Hijra queens from all over India.
Babita Naina and Khushi from Mumbai , Kareena , but the most exotic and a very new nubile hijra called Raveena .
I must have shot over 100 pictures of Raveena hijra of Aligarh..now part of Gopal Haji and Babitas hijda gharana.
Madhurima Ma the head of the HIjras of Park Site saw that I was fed and took great care , I call her Ma and she treats me like her own son.. she and her chela Baby..
Kamini was there with a novice nubile hijra called Muskan ..
And it is not a boast but I shoot hijras differently, the hijra beauties I shot are very rare species you will never see in your entire life time.
I shot my two favorite eunuch children Mona and Nandini.
I was given hospitality love kindness by my host Peersab Fakhru Miya Hijra No 6...his children Farid Miya and Qambar Miya.
I met Noubat Ali Baba the head of the rafaees, Damadar Rafaees and Malangs, but I spent a lot of time with the Hijra bawas and I was barefeet through out my stay at Ajmer and Taragadh.. I climbed Taragah barefeet 5 km..a path that is a virtual beggar paradise , open sores wounds and strange deformities of body and spirit.
I was caught in a stampede at the doors of the dargah , I fell down people walked all over me till I was eventually saved by the Khadim and the crowds.
I hurt my hands and legs but my camera was intact.
And reaching Ajmer is nothing short of a miracle..I will show all this like a story board from Dadar railway station to Ajmer .
I shot a lot of stuff from the upper tier of my bus .. sleeping coach from Ajmer to Surat and another bus from Surat to Mumbai for my return journey.
One person who would have liked the spiritual ambiance of this place is Dr Glenn Losack MD.
Marc De Clercq had walked from Delhi to Ajmer with Malangs and Damadar Rafaees.
We spent some time together along with another French photographer Yasser.
I missed my Hijra Guru Laxmi Narayan Tripathi she was caring for her sick father I was told..and everyone missed Laxmi such is the power of her androgynous persona.
