Our instructor was Janet Cordell, Master Carver from the state of Arkansas.

Her family are well-known nationally as carvers and have been featured in Smithsonian.

All set up to collect some surface water samples, before it starts raining.

I bought this circle fabric before I saw this sample. It's an interesting use of it.

Software illustrating the painting process used for this project. The software is looking through the image on the right for color samples and extracting the luminosity. It then looks through the image on the left to find a similar luminosty and creates a new sample using the luminosity from first and the hue and saturation on the second.

The samples on either end are too orange and butterscotch-y. The second column from the left is just right.The third colum from the left is too yellow.
