I confess … I’m addicted to weekly sales in Second Life. If I go a week without checking out every sale I can find, then there’s something wrong with me.

So I attended the AC DC 'Power Up' concert at the Sydney (Accor) Olympic Stadium, at Homebush in western Sydney, last Friday 21st November, 2025, and then again on Monday, 25th November, 2025.
It was VERY loud but amazingly energetic. My two daughters were NOT at all impressed, arguing that Taylor Swift is far better and more popular. "Well," I argued back, "let's see who has sold more tickets, and which tickets sold the fastest?" So we looked at the Ticketek website and guess what? AC DC destroyed Taylor Swift for sales!!! "OMG," declared Miss 18, "there must be SO many old people in Sydney." See what I live with.

During our walkabout in Copenhagen, we came across this opticial store (Optikkens Hus). I thought their window display was a hoot, very imaginative. I loved the way they used dolls with their varied expressions to advertise their optical products.
I only wished their interior lighting hadn’t been so harsh on the dolls.
Regardless, it still puts a smile on my face.
I took this between Christmas and New Year from my iPhone - it had been so busy in the city and then returning to the car after getting a few things, the car park was almost empty. Seemed strange, like all the busyness had finished, everything was sold in the sales, everyone went home ...
My first outing with my January Sales bargain Z8, which unexpectadly arrived the afternoon before I took this. I hadn't really set all the features up in the camera, but was excited to get out and use it.
I had already planned to go up to the Lakes with John Bleakley anyway, so the new camera was definitely going in the bag.
This was the first shot I took with it, so I had to post it. We had planned to go into the Keswick area and as we drove along the A66 we could see that Blencathra had some cloud around it and everywhere else looked pretty clear as the sky lightened. So I suggested we tried Tewet Tarn for sunrise.
As we arrived the conditions were very cold at -8, so we quickly donned our gear and headed up the fell side. I knew from previous visits where to go so we got to this spot before the sun appeared over the horizon.
So here is the view on this first foray out with the Z8.

The young horse is jittery with all the people around him and the attention he is experiencing.
After a tenth look, my eyes tell me a tale of a visible divide between two American classes in 2021–- a masked blue-collar employee and unmasked (horse) investor class. In fairness, this showing is partly outdoors and there are not huge groups of investors clumped together. But there aren't workers clumped together either.
