The yacht club in Dartmouth NS was very pretty and peaceful last night, except for the tiny black flies which I didn't expect to see..... I had a lovely visit today from Joe Lemm SierraJoe who was travelling through Nova Scotia and came by to visit and see my squirrels. We had a great chat about places we have seen and places he is going to. So glad he made the time to stop.

Come one! Come all! The Crystal Heart Festival is now open ♥ x3 and it's full of KAWAII POWER!!!! Come help defend the world from evil with me c;

A beautiful summer morning begins at Belle River, Ontario’s marina. Boats await their captains to take them on a journey on the waters of Lake St. Clair, the smallest of North America’s Great Lakes.

I am so thrilled about this tail from Cynefin. The creator is such a great artist with a great heart. As a huge mermaid fan she just made my dream come true. I can see how much work she did put into making this tail and it is trully mindblowing so I had to make a photo for it as a big thank you.

Red sky at night, sailors delight.

When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.

Brindisi is a working man’s town that centers around the sea boasting a very large port and a long love affair with the Adriatic, it has a gritty feel but in a good way it has an air of excitement to it like a girlfriend awaiting a sailor returning from a long voyage.

Captured here is a sun dappled mid-morning view of Brindisi life on the palm lined Corso Garibaldi the center of the cities local business life, busy with the passage of the days gossip, the days shopping and second only to the lungomare for popularity with the locals.

Brindisi has been around for several millennia, it was the end of the road for the Roman Appian Way it played an important role as a trade hub with Greece and the Near East an activity it still retains to this day but not stuck in its past glory it has modern activities in aerospace and chemical industries making it a center technology in the Puglian region.

I took this on Sept 24, 2016 with my D750 and Nikon 24-85 f3.5-4.5 Lens at 46mm 1/800s f/4.5 ISO 250 processed in LR, PS +Lumenzia, Topaz , and DXO

This one had some Photoshop, it's one of my favourite fountain pens, with a 14k gold nib.

Nothing is more beautiful than a red sunset by the ocean.

Red sky at night sailors delight; red sky in the morning sailors take warning.

A flowing breeze, a summer evening, lovely sunset colors... what more could a sailor ask for?

Lake Michigan sailing...

From the same spot as yesterday's photo.

Red sky at night, sailors' delight. Red sky at morning, sailors take warning. The rhyme is a rule of thumb used for weather forecasting during the past two millennia. It is based on the reddish glow of the morning or evening sky, caused by haze or clouds related to storms in the region.

On the last evening of spring, signs that maybe this month of rain (18 days out of 21) might actually change its pattern.
