It has a characteristic stiff gliding flight achieved by short and shallow wingbeats just above the horizontal. Red sky at night, sailors delight.
When we see a red sky at night, this means that the setting sun is sending its light through a high concentration of dust particles. This usually indicates high pressure and stable air coming in from the west. Basically good weather will follow.

I can't get a sailor out of my head. It must be because he is almost all white with just a touch of color on the "hat" and then dark "shoes" at the bottom. And he is sitting at attention with such good posture...
The pad Muse is sitting on is a "Swedish mat" that I received as a gift for Christmas; I love it. It absorbs 15 times its weight in water, but also dries quickly. And it's machine washable, thank goodness.
