When the course is laid and the anchor's weighed
A sailor's blood begins racing
With our hearts unbound and our flag unfurled
We're under way and off to see the world
Under way and off to see the world

I'm immeasurably proud of my good friend Jackie. She also makes angels from glass she has fossicked at the margins of the river.

The thrill of racing. My restoration and digital hand colorization of Leif Wikström´s image from the 1974 Emsalö Runt regatta in the Porvoo (Borgå) archipelago (southern Finland). The B&W picture is in the Finnish Heritage Agency archive (finna.fi).
The race has been organized since 1909 and is thus one of the oldest sailing events in Finland.
The name and type of the boat are not mentioned. If one looks closely, there is a name on the hull which I read as Seej.. Any additional information is welcome.
