My Migidoll Ryu arrived today!
I will name him "Flynn" :-)
This is neither his final wig nor his final faceup I think.. he will get a new style very soon.
Hope you like him :-)
This time I tried to paint the shiny parts with nail polish coat, first in order to give it a gloss finish on some parts and on the weapons and second to protect them of the chipping. Good results except for the knives, but to be honest I don't remember coating those.

Hori-shi Horikazu IV (Nao-san) noted that I needed a dragon (ryu) on my arm. He had the additional challenge of covering up my earlier joke of a tattoo. And I wanted a half-sleeve. So you can imagine the amount of work that needed to be done in such a small area (small when compared to the areas (full body, full sleeves) that he is used to doing).
He drew the dragon's head on stencil paper, and transferred it onto my arm. I liked it instantly. Then he drew its body and the background (clouds and a representation of air/wind) directly on my skin using art pens. Check that blueprint in my earlier photographs. That was it for one night. It took about an hour and a half.
The next day, he sat down with the tattoo machine and drew the outline and did some shading work for about 5 hours with three 5-minute breaks in between. It hurt like hell in the beginning, but sometime later my tolerance level increased. But once the day's work was done, I could hardly move my arm. It was sore.
The third day, he had to complete the finer shading, esp around the scales on the dragon's body and around its head. This took another 2 hrs. The end result was a magnificent dragon on my arm, and a very happy customer in me. I am impressed with Nao-san's work.
So all in all, it took around 8 hrs, and I have to get some more work done (some colors, a pointy tail perhaps) the next time I am here in Japan.

The shoulders house holo projectors for emitting "clones". The Visor is nearly completely hidden to give a cylopian look. Using a beam sword developed from the Covenant energy sword tech.
The figure was a spartan warrior, the upper arms are from a Marvel havok figure, the shoulders are from a WoW figure.
