Taken away from her family in Africa at a very early age, packed off to a zoo with 3 other baby elephants, her 3 feet chained all day and unable to move in a small concrete patch for years. Ridden by heavy men when she was a tiny calf.
The world's animal activists watched with horror whilst she died with internal injuries and 2 broken legs whilst her carers were taking selfies and sitting on her trunk.

Soon as The Pipsqueak is released he takes
off at the speed of sound only stopping
briefly to poop an pee. Then it's
right back to wild running an
jumping in total freedom.
This worked out well ;-)
Couple important things to mention.
This is where I brought The Zoomer
when she first took up residence at
our place. Safe controlled area.
When we were leaving 4 wild dogs
came racing down the dirt road
trying to attack us. I turned it
around on them and sent
all 4 dogs running for
their lives ;-0-
Now if The Pipsqueak was in the cobra/mud
field and this happened they would of
most likely killed him before I could
come to his rescue. This is why
the walled in area is so very
important right now.
Wild crazy running an leaping took
place for a good 40 minutes + or -.

It was Caballo Blanco and the book "Born to Run" that got us started on trail running and I always think of him and his dog "Guadajuko" when we're out on the trails, especially on a beautiful, spiritual day like today...

A cold day in New York City makes anyone want to run like crazy in order to keep themselves warm. This day in particular the gusts of wind were up to 30 miles per hour and the temperature was 40 degrees Farenheit, with the gust taken into calculation- it felt more like 19 degrees Farenheit.
Every day here we must take the train to commute, and the wait for the trains can sometimes be dreadfully long. As we waited for the train in this frigid day we decided to keep ourselves warm by running back and forth along the platform. In this shot, it seemed almost as if Monica were embracing the suns rays and warmth with her entire body which is why I thought it was a beautiful shot.
