Rumours abound that Ollie is sadly no longer with us his fate uncertain. I still hope he is safe and well somewhere and feel blessed by the hours of pure enjoyment he brought to me.
A couple of new otters have appeared in the bay and hopefully health permitting I will catch up with them soon.

William III and Mary II were crowned as joint monarchs in 1689, after they were invited by Parliament to take the throne in the place of Catholic King James II, Mary’s father.
They bought Kensington Palace to become their new home, away from the bustle of Whitehall Palace, and transformed the building into a royal home.
The Queen's apartments were where Mary, and later royal consorts, lived. This is where they had their bedroom, took their meals, entertained their friends and distinguished guests, and relaxed.
The last room in the Queen's State Apartments is the Queen's Bedroom. As Mary extended her apartments and created a new bedroom, this room became a cosy sociable space in which she entertained friends.
The bed that is displayed in this room also tells its own fascinating story. It is thought to be the bed in which James Edward Stuart, son of King James II was born, at St James' Palace, in 1688.
As Mary and Anne’s Catholic half-brother, James' birth was such a threat to the Protestant establishment that rumours were spread that the baby was an impostor, smuggled into the bed in a 'warming pan' to replace a stillborn infant.

Here's another view of the Purple Emperor that visited the cherry tree in our garden n Friday. This is the best view I could manage of the underwings (although I did get a burst against the light, which I haven't edited yet).
I understand there are rumours of a colony about 3-4 km at Madingley.

The rumour was that, as part of the national celebration of the 75th Anniversary of the end of WWII (as far as the European theatre went, anyway) on the 8th May 2020, a flypast of fighters and bombers would be going home on a route which took them over our town, as indeed it had on a previous occasion. Now, I have very tall trees all over my property, in fact you could almost say that I live in a wood. This has the effect of giving me very small skies. I never see a sunrise or a sunset from my house. In addition I am currently prevented, by law, from leaving my property for the purpose of photography, under the terms of the present Covid19 lockdown regulations. Therefore, in order to give myself a better chance of getting a shot of the fly-past, at the rumoured time I took a camera and climbed onto the roof of my house. In events the route was obviously changed, as I could hear the fly-past taking place miles away probably following the route of the River Thames. Anyway whilst I was up there, I thought you might be interested in the view to the back of my house as the rhododendrons have started to bloom.

Rumours, rumours and more rumours! At the end of a scattered week, 37403 ‘did’ make it onto the mainline, giving its current state! Class 37685 and 37403 with the SRPS charter to Aviemore @ Aberdour.
My body clock is all mixed up, writing this at 3 am. Two nights of covid coughing up will do that to you. The rest of my family here are on this wave too. Well, I have recovered enough to cook a risotto dinner last night while the number one chef coughed quietly at my technique. Wear a mask if visiting our restaurant.
rumour says the locals could not hear the church bell as it was at the bottom of the hill, so built it up here.
Rumours say that there will be a big Christmas party in Frogtown and apparently Santa frog is busy to prepare everything ! :)

It has been suggested that because I haven't posted in an absolute age people may think I am no longer in the land of Flickr.
Still definitely am. My photography mojo has decided it needs a vacation and will probably not return much before Wales opens it's borders.
But my garden looks amazing, my Christmas cards are started and I am well down the list of things needing doing so all is good.
The only things halting the progress at times are the wonderful amounts of birds and squirrels that frequent the garden. I can and do spend ages just watching them and sometimes even remember to take the camera out there with me.
This 190 year old church in Quebec has become the target of ghost hunters amid rumours the building is haunted. Rumours were started on chat sites that at one time the church's congregation committed mass suicide. Although the stories had no basis in fact, they soon had supernatural thrill seekers and ghost hunters breaking in to the church at night. They've been performing seances on the grounds, trying to conjure up the spirits of the dead. The 19th century St. John's Anglican Church in Gore, Que., has been plagued by unwelcome visitors of late, and both the church's warden and the Anglican diocese are considering abandoning it.
