I took this photo last month on a summery warm day when Fynn enjoyed a nap in the long grass, a nap which was interrupted suddenly by something going on in the neighbouring garden. Even if I don't remember what it was, it is likely that it had to do with THE DOGS.
No sooner had I tried to get out of the car than this pony came and stood right over me (she was on an incline). In certain areas of the Forest where you get a lot of tourists, the ponies associate cars and people with food. I am pleased to say that last month a law was introduced where if you pet or feed the animals you may be fined £1,000.

Here I was waiting for my perscription from Dr. Haddax Paynesworth when these rude ghost hunter people barged in.
It is a medium-sized diving duck from Eurasia. Their breeding habitat is marshes and lakes with a metre or more water depth. These ducks breed in southern and eastern Europe and southern and western Asia. They are somewhat migratory, and winter farther south and into north Africa.

*I do hope you find a calm and a sense of serenity by the beach rather than a " lovely portrait" when you view this photo :P
I don't mean to be rude but I find fake comments on my work to be insulting. I'm sure many of you experience this before. But I really appreciate all new and old contacts I've met here who we had shared many insightful conversations and inspired one another here in the Flickr community :)
This fly rudely poked its hairy tongue out at me.
Have a fab FriYay and a wonderful weekend!
Happy Fly Day Friday!

Should you be lost in the enchanted wood,
be nice to all you see.
Because should you insult a witch,
a toad you very soon would be.
Do not be rude to the trolls,
they are sure to take offence.
They will use your eyes as ping pong balls,
and your bones will be their fence.
Do not laugh at goblin folk,
who are hiding in the trees.
They will paint you neon pink,
or any colour that they please.
Do not step on the gremlins,
although they are hard to see.
They may well switch your pillow,
with a hive of angry bees.
If you see the faerie folk,
don't try to grab their wings.
They can turn you into a toadstool,
to dance around in spring.
Be also nice to the giant,
who lives up on the mound.
He may take you on his shoulders,
to have a good look around.
Do be polite to the dragon,
if in an enchanted wood you are lost.
Because he thinks you will be crunchy,
and good with tartar sauce.
I went to a forest called "Rude Skov" - yes, the name is weird in English but I assure you that it is not rude!
I had all my gear with me but decided only to shoot handheld and to do so in manual mode, so no help from anything but the meter inside the view finder; it was so much fun and actually not that hard. Going manual gave me a sort of peace of mind, knowing how the camera was set and that the shutterspeed or aperture wouldn't change unless I wanted them to. I really encourage you to try manual mode for landscape if you haven't already.
The shots are basically of the same subject around a small lake in the forest but with variations in perspective and composition. Hopefully it's not too boring to look at.
Here's to experimentation! I plan to do a lot more of that in the near future.
Thanks again to Adam and his Landscape Masterclass at First Man Photography - without that I really wouldn't have considered going manual and not even gotten the shot because going through that masterclass has made me rethink how I shoot landscapes. I am still learning; I still struggle when looking for interesting subjects and also the composition. Also, ISO, aperture and shutterspeed is something I still need to incorporate into my workflow for each shot because I tend to forget checking and setting them. Heh.

You would not believe your eyes if ten million fireflies lit up the world as I fell asleep, 'cause they fill the open air and leave teardrops everywhere, you'd think me rude but I would just stand and stare at the Fireflies.
