Ruby - a Blue and White China Pottery Shard Necklace by PolishedTwo
This is an 16.25" (41 cm) red "mountain jade" beaded necklace with a Ming/Ching Dynasty pottery shard pendant featuring a blue and white Asian-style floral illustration. The pottery shard is a painted porcelain piece that looks like ancient, broken China and is set in a silver plated brass bezel.
Their new Ten Ping was SO sweet! I had to snag some photos. I would've bought every one if I could have.

Ruby Falls is the tallest underground waterfall open to the public in the United States. Falling more than 145 feet inside the limestone interior of Lookout Mountain, the falls are 1,120 feet below the surface of the mountain. Discovered in 1928 by Leo Lambert and named for his wife, Ruby, the falls are reached by descending a 260-foot shaft in a glass-fronted elevator before walking through half a mile of caverns. Chattanooga, Tennessee. (Nathanael Miller, 02 August 2022)

Even with today's dreary rain I still went out to watch and photograph Ruby Throated Hummingbirds. Very challenging to get sharp images with a shutter speed down to 1/500th of a second.
A man, upon meeting Ruby the other day told me that "This is the happiest little dog he'd ever met!"
I totally concur :)
This gorgeous little Ruby Necklace features a rough cut Ruby in a prong setting, hand made by myself. I love the hexagonal shape of the stone, and how it shines from within. Set in Sterling Silver, the metal has been given a slight patina to give contrast to the stone. The chain has been altered by myself to create faceted shapes that reflect the shape of the Ruby.
