Sinds enkele maanden rijdt Railtraxx een staaltrein van En naar La-Louvière-Industrie. De tractie wordt normaliter verzekerd door twee reeksen 6400. Dit keer werd de tractie geleverd door een class 66.
@De staaltrein La-Louviere-Industrie naar Antw.-Nd-B1 met 88min. vertraging in doortocht op lijn 27A.

I just received my order of my new graphics card (and stronger PSU to power it).
After 8 long years of graphics card being too stupidly expensive I finally had a bit of spare cash to buy a new one. It's about damn time.

While my GTX 1060 6GB was trucking on well throughout the years, it does start to show its age by now and the VRAM is just not enough anymore.
Some games are starting to exceed that amount and Second Life is only going to become more memory-hungry with the larger textures as well.
I had also lost the ability to run 2 SL viewers at the same time after the PBR update, having turned into an unusual slideshow when I would launch a second instance.
Hopefully the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB will chew through 2 PBR viewers without much trouble.

I would have considered getting an AMD card instead, due to how Nvidia has been like in recent years, but sadly the power draw of the AMD equivalent would have been significantly higher, and at 39 cents per kWh, that matters for me when it's going to run for years to come.
And the RTX 4070, while around 30% faster, has only 12GB VRAM and as easily as I've been running out of 6GB with my use cases, I did not want to run into more memory shortage again any time soon, such as when I running 2 SL viewers and a large video file on the side.

I'm posting this before the upgrade, so I'll have to test things later. Fingers crossed.
Time to take apart my tower to replace the GPU, PSU and do cable management again.

De RTX zinkertstrein van Balen-Wezel rijdt nog steeds!
In tegenstelling tot "Den Budel" zinkertstrein die momenteel voor onbepaalde tijd niet rijdt.!

Rond het middaguur van vrijdag 10 mei 2024 passeert de Railtraxx class 66 met het nummer 266 016-5 de Hoge Avrijestraat in Evergem met Bertrich-shuttle 41603 op zijn weg van Antwerpen-D.S.-Combinant naar de DOW terminal in Terneuzen.
De aanwezige landschapsvervuiling is digitaal verwijderd.
Die für Railtrax fahrende 266 009-0 kommt gerade aus dem Gulptunnel bei Homburg und bringt den Zug an Montzen vorbei nach Aachen-West
Als een RTX 6400 onbeschikbaar is gebeurd het wel eens dat een RTX class voor de zinkertstrein gespannen wordt!

Nadat gisteren de opname te Duffel mislukte, camera had ineens geen zin om een foto te maken. Dan wel de terugrit gefotografeerd. Dit is tevens de eerste keer dat ik de terugrit kon vastleggen. De voorbije weekenden liep het altijd goed fout met de terugrit door technische defecten. Vorig weekend nog was de trein bijna 4uur te laat. Vandaag reed de trein 2uur vroeger dan de voorziene dienstregeling.
Aldaar het Hockey was in LIer was een opname op het rechte stuk onmogelijk. Dan maar naar de uitrit van het rooster van Lier gaan staan, waar het wijkspoor vertakt. Vanop de brug had mooi geweest, maar ook is het terug helemaal dicht gegroeid met woekerstruiken...

Tussen eind 2023 en eind 2025 hebben ze hier hard gewerkt om de perrons te vernieuwen en verhogen.

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, the men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcomed the community to visit LAFD neighborhood fire stations for tours and demonstrations during the Department's annual 'Fire Service Day' celebration.
The citywide "Open Firehouse" event, last held in 2019 due to the pandemic, was well attended, and included the debut of the Rosenbauer RTX, the LAFD's first electric fire engine, as well as the communities' chance to meet newly appointed Fire Chief Kristin M. Crowley.
