The Strikemaster Duo 417/G-RSAF and 425/G-SOAF performing at Eastbourne's 2019 sea-front Airshow - AIRbourne

These BAC.167 'Light Attack' versions of the 1950's designed Hunting Jet Provost trainer were built by the British Aircraft Corporation and sold in the Middle East including, South Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Kuwait along with New Zealand, Singapore and Ecuador

Post retirement, several have found their way into the 'Warbird' fraternity and whilst now civilian owned and operated - flying in the markings of some of the more obscure Air Arms, this dynamic pair make a great addition to any Airshow programme

Let's hope they will return sometime soon

One of the few RSAF aircraft that frequently fly past and above my block.

RSAF General Dynamics F-16D Block 52, Luke AFB. An unplanned stop by Luke yesterday yielded very few usable shots but I'll post a couple that were at least half decent. Sun was shining almost straight down the runway so not ideal.

After the outbreak of WWII British Commandos were in desperate need of a lightweight, accurate and deadly silent SMG.

Taking the exceptional De Lisle Carbine's design RSAF encorporated a similar internal supressor and changed the bolt for a smoother, quieter movement.

The Lancaster was made in small numbers and used mainly by Commandos whilst attacking radar sites and other operations deep in occupied Europe.

Anyshoe, I quite like this.
