Meet Rupert the Rottweiler, my daughter's latest addition to the family. He's about 5 months old now and growing fast, more photos to come no doubt.

I took this photo about 12 years ago of our dogs. Sadly passed on now but they were great company and we have many happy memories of them at training clubs and going to obedience shows.

The Rottweiler thought she was a German Shepard, she couldn't understand why she wasn't allowed in the German Shepherd training club we belonged to.

The Rottweiler is a robust working breed of great strength descended from the mastiffs of the Roman legions. A gentle playmate and protector within the family circle, the Rottweiler observes the outside world with a self-assured aloofness.

The Rottweiler is a breed of domestic dog, regarded as medium-to-large or large. The dogs were known in German as Rottweiler Metzgerhund, meaning Rottweil butchers' dogs, because their main use was to herd livestock and pull carts laden with butchered meat to market.
