A species of dragonfly I have always wanted to see, but for some reason I had always failed. A wonderful morning spent watching and photographing these with my son, Matt. It was also a new species for him. All that we saw were males so maybe another visit is due looking for females!!

The Rother at Fittleworth in flood after the last days heavy rain . I was lucky enough to catch some passing geese in the frame by having my hand on the remote shutter just at the right moment

The River Rother flows for 35 miles through the English counties of East Sussex and Kent. Its source is near Rotherfield in East Sussex, and its mouth is on Rye Bay, part of the English Channel..The River Rother has been used for navigation since Roman times, meandering through East Sussex and Kent.
