Pella, sur la rive occidentale du lac d’Orta, fait partie des bourgs les plus anciens et les plus riches en histoire du territoire de Cusio. Une roche utilisée pour la coupellation découverte récemment prouve que Pella était déjà habité à l’âge du fer : le long de l’ancien parcours des tailleurs de pierre, on peut observer diverses coupelles gravées sur un rocher, avec leur canal d’écoulement, qui étaient probablement utilisées dans le cadre d’un rite de la fertilité.
Pella, on the western bank of the lake of Orta, been a part of villages the oldest and the richest in history of the territory of Cusio. A rock used for the bare coupellation recently proves that Pella was already inhabited in the Iron Age: along the old route of the stone-cutters, we can observe diverse small dishes engraved on a rock, with their channel of selling, which were probably used for of a rite of the fertility.

Geraci Siculo is a charming medieval village located in the heart of the Madonie Park (province of Palermo), at an altitude of 1,077 meters.

📍 Cosa Vedere
• Castello dei Ventimiglia: Ruderi dell'imponente fortezza medievale del Trecento, da cui si gode una vista panoramica spettacolare che spazia fino all'Etna e alle Isole Eolie.
• Chiesa Madre di Santa Maria Maggiore: Edificio di epoca tardo-medievale caratterizzato da un maestoso campanile (nella foto) e contenente pregevoli sculture.
• Centro storico: Un dedalo di vicoli e stradine tortuose di chiara impronta araba, perfetto per passeggiate rilassanti nel silenzio della natura.
