Pella, on the western bank of the lake of Orta, been a part of villages the oldest and the richest in history of the territory of Cusio. A rock used for the bare coupellation recently proves that Pella was already inhabited in the Iron Age: along the old route of the stone-cutters, we can observe diverse small dishes engraved on a rock, with their channel of selling, which were probably used for of a rite of the fertility.

This is the roof of New Street railway station, Birmingham, UK. I thought it had a Stormtrooper look from Star Wars.

Brunate overlooks Como, which lies on the shore of Lake Como some 500 metres below. For a short time in the late 12th century Brunate was an independent commune, but in 1240 it reverted to the suzerainty of Como. Como and Brunate are linked by a steep, narrow, winding road, and by the Como to Brunate funicular. Alessandro Volta lived in Brunate for a short period and the Bulgarian poet Pencho Slaveykov died in the town on 10 June 1912.

so what ?
... that this dome is exposed by a lantern, one could not recognize, if one had photographed it exactly symmetrically from below ...
