After 18 years without any Qantas aircraft landing in Paris, the Spirit of Australia finally brought us something to see, and they didn't disappoint! Yam Dreaming is the name of that incredible livery. At least this year will have brought many interesting planes, this being one of the highlights!
Of course, spotting such an aircraft with a decent light is too much to ask, so we had to deal with thick fog...
Qantas 176 is seen here taxiing on November to RWY 09R for a COVID-19 repatriation flight.
Now that is one wonderful visitor in Paris CDG! This will stay as one of the 2018 highlights!
The ThaĆÆ Prime Minister Prayut Chan-O-Cha payed a visit to Europe, going to London, Toulouse (to see Airbus plant) and then Paris.

The inter-terminal shuttle, the Charles de Gaulle VĆ©hicule Automatique LĆ©ger (or CDVAL) at Charles de Gaulle airport, Paris (also known as Roissy airport), France.
The airport was built in the late 1960's and early 1970's, originally under the name of "AĆ©roport de Paris Nord". The second terminal opened in 1982, and a third has since been added.
The shuttle was built in the early 2000's, and connects the first two airport terminals with the RĆ©seau Express RĆ©gional (RER, the Parisienne "underground" service) and the Train Ć Grande Vitesse (TGV, the French national/international railway network).
Shot at dawn at the T2 section of the line.
Taken with my Nikon D40, fitted with a Nikkor AFS DX 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6G II lens, and processed in GIMP and Photoscape.

It seems dumb, but I had never shot properly an EK 777 in my life. Indeed, before COVID-19 and since many years they were operating the 3 daily flights with their superjumbo. Due to the lack of traffic and the rise of cargo demand, they now send 777s on up to 3 times a day.
Here is 'Emirates 72' climbing out of runway 26R back to Dubai.
