Portrait of a green leafhopper (Cicadella viridis; Cicadellidae, Hemiptera). These are very skittish creatures, hard to approach, but cool and wet weather helped a lot. Found in a wet meadow (Niel, Belgium, 2 October 2021).

Fieldstack of a live specimen, based on 69 exposures (fast method); assembled in Zerene Stacker (Pmax & Dmap). Sony A6500 + Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2x ultra macro apo; ISO-400, f/4, 1/100s, -0.7 step, natural light (overcast).
