Mr. Harrop found himself in southwestern Oregon where he stumbled upon a Southern Pacific SD9E idling in the timber producing region of Grants Pass.
I got my feet wet for this photo. A wave snuck up on me while looking though the view finder. This is an old 2012 photo that I had never posted.

These lovely lilies are growing along the road across the street from my home. They are a deep red colour.
Rogue River rafting trip - super fun! Gorgeous scenery including the famous Hellsgate Canyon and spots where “The River Wild” and a bunch of John Wayne movies were filmed.

Beginning near Crater Lake, which occupies the caldera left by the explosive volcanic eruption of Mount Mazama, the river flows through the geologically young High Cascades and the older Western Cascades, another volcanic province. Further west, the river passes through multiple exotic terranes of the more ancient Klamath Mountains. In the Kalmiopsis Wilderness section of the Rogue basin are some of the world's best examples of rocks that form the Earth's mantle.
She goes almost everywhere with me. When she wants to. Otherwise I have to backtrack and collect her up again. She's the reason for hundreds of unsharp photos as she tugs and strains on her lead as I try to line up a shot. She's also the reason why I sleep on the beach most nights. She loves getting wet and sandy on the beach and then at home climbing in my bed to warm up, dry off and shed sand in the bed. She's an important member of the B&B team, welcoming and entertaining guests, especially if they have kids
This has been a great week of sunshine to work in my garden. Both my neighbours were also out in their gardens so we talked over the fences a lot. I planted this yellow wood poppy in my garden years along the fence lines years ago. It has since strayed over to both my neighbours gardens. They love having this native perennial. It’s just one more thing we share so well with each other. Happy Fence Friday!
