I don't know what is so captivating to me about this. I think it's the whole range of light and dark represented here and what is revealed when the light hits just right.
President Obama made a stop in Cushing last week and many people used this time to send a message. We need the Keystone pipeline to go through, all the way to Canada.
I'm not usually much of a political person. But, this day I had fun being in and around all the energy of these people. Many had very strong opinions. I wouldn't have had this opportunity if my boss hadn't allowed them to have a rally at our store front.
We had protesters from AFP, Americans for Prosperity, and Energy Citizens at our store front. It was a great experience seeing the President's motorcade and meeting and talking with people that have an opinion and the will, energy and time to let it be heard. My boss, John Fechner, spoke at the event. If you want you can watch it here.
As for the President, he just wizzed past us.
I took more photos with a Nikon FE. I can't wait to get them processed. Hopefully some will turn out and I'll share them here.
